WASHINGTON The federal government hired a New Orleans man for $18,000 to appraise whether news stories about its actions in the Gulf oil spill were positive or negative for the Obama administration, which was keenly sensitive to comparisons between its response and former President George W. Bush's much-maligned reaction to Hurricane Katrina.
The government also spent $10,000 for just over three minutes of video showing a routine offshore rig inspection for news organizations but couldn't say whether any ran the footage. I busted my ass all these years to pay confiscatory taxes to a bloated federal gov’t that wastes my money on totally useless sh**! Gee, it makes me so proud and feel so good!
If they didn’t spend our money on this self-promotion, how would we know all about their good works? /s

Thief = Congress.
Con artist = Piss-Stream Media.

Their mentality is to dole out our hard earned money in such shiploads so as to enable likeminded “bros” and pretend wannabes to scoop up the big piles while the spillage goes to their voter support base.

Read my post. I didn’t say anything about tax deductions, I was speaking specifically about BP’s cleanup bill.
