O’Donnell is not a strong candidate, and I prefer someone with a track record of conservative governance. In my mind, senators are supposed to be the best of the best. After all, we only get to select them every six years.
That said, Mike Castle is horrible. He’s epitomizes everything wrong with the Republican Party. I don’t care one bit whether or not he’s “electable.” In fact, I DESPISE those who resort to the electability argument. They only use it against conservatives.
This election is what it is. A better candidate might exist, but they aren’t running. Therefore, the choice comes down to O’Donnell, a conservative with a less than stellar private life and no political track record, and Castle, a PROVEN traitor to constitutional governance. The choice is clear. I pick O’Donnell.
If O’Donnell wins and turns out to be a bad senator, can she possibly be worse than Castle? I doubt it. More importantly, we can always replace her next election. And, so what if she loses? A senate majority with the likes of Castle is no majority at all! Castle will only ensure Republicans get all the blame but have no power to enact meaningful changes.
No. There is only one possible route to conservative power, and that’s by electing conservatives like O’Donnell.

“Little known” Christine O’Donnell (who the Republican Party nominated for Senate 2 years ago). FUWapo.

Just wait till the Palin haters show up in this thread, they have issues with woman in government positions, they will give you plenty of reasons.

In South Carolina, the RINOs trashed Nikki Haley in her run for governor. They called her names and spewed out trashy charges that she was an adulterer. It backfired. (Background: the RINOs hated her because she wants recorded votes in the state legislature.) The RINO Good ol’ Boys candidates in the primary race were defeated by Haley, who got 49% of the vote. She will be the next governor of SC.
You can win in Delaware and beat the RINOs.

"You belong in that Senate seat!" cheered Lorelei Hunt, a New Castle resident who greeted Castle at the Brandywine Festival of the Arts in Wilmington on Sunday. But Hunt is a registered Democrat, and she can't vote Tuesday. If that isn't all you need to know from the article, what is?! Imagine that... a registered Dem cheering for Castle!

It’s too bad we’ve allowed the left to neuter men and denigrate masculinity in this country to the point that women have to step up into the role of protector and defender.

Thanks. Go here to view Castle’s voting record:

I’d rather take a chance on O’Donnell than vote for someone who I KNOW will sell us out. Oh, he might give us a majority, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. If Republicans are nominally in charge but powerless to enact meaningful change (toward smaller government), I think we’ll be in a much weaker position in 2012. We’ll get all the blame between now and then without the power to affect change.
Mike Castle is part of the problem. How can one have a “solution” when one keeps reelecting the problem? You’d think after 40+ years in governance, Castle would have had enough time to get it right. He’s had his chance. Now it’s time for someone else. Retire Mike Castle!

This bit about “splitting the Republican vote” is beginning to wear a bit thin. Just remember the late William F.Buckley, Jr. and his brother, James Buckley. In 1970 Jim Buckley ran for senator from NY on the Conservative party ticket and won because the libs split their vote between super RINO Jacob Javits and the DemonRat candidate. Right now it looks like Marco Rubio’s going to win the FL senate seat because Crist and the DemonRat are splitting the lib vote in FL. The same thing could easily happen in DE and some other states, including Alaska.

The guy who should have won in SC, IMO, was the guy with the 98 ACU rating. He was no RINO.

Only about 30,000 Republicans are projected to vote in tomorrows primary, and that means anything can happen.
