Alaska's Libertarian Party candidate for Senate said in an interview Sunday that he will not give up his line on the ballot to Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who was upset in the Republican primary last month by "tea party"-backed challenger Joe Miller and has been considering a third-party run for her job.
But once again in Alaska, it's not over even when it really looks like it's over.
"I will not be stepping down to allow Sen. Lisa Murkowski or anyone else to take my place as the Libertarian candidate for the U.S. Senate from Alaska," David Haase told The Washington Times on Sunday.
"It is time to stop the speculation and accusations," said Mr. Haase. "I will remain the Libertarian candidate, period."

This temper tantrum makes it quite clear that she never should have been elected to office in the first place.
She seems to be trying to make the point that the senate seat is hers by heredity!

She’s not a Libertarian, and Scott Kohlhaas the Alaska Party Chairman stated 2 weeks ago her voting record was very problematic for Libertarian Party members in Alaska.
Lisa can run as a write-in but that’s it after Tuesday.

I would rather a Pyrrhic victory than the ongoing humiliation and defeat at the hands of RINO’s.

Hey, don't be so hard on the Libertarians. It must be sort of fun to have Murkowski and her flunkies whining and batting their eyelashes at them.
"Oh pllllleeease... can we have your seat?... huh, huh? Pretty pleeeeeeeze...."
Especially since these RINOs wouldn't give the Libertarians the time of day up until the date of the primary. They would be less than human if they weren't tempted to milk the situation for whatever amusement value they could get.

I would rather a Pyrrhic victory than the ongoing humiliation and defeat at the hands of RINOs. If a RAT wins, well, at least you know where you stand. If a RINO wins, you are NEVER sure.

Whatever happened to the concept of ‘citizen-legislator?’
These seats have now become peerages. Not only are they lifelong politicians, but seem to think that they cannot, under any circumstances, be voted out of office.
