How do “race” and “ethnicity” differ? Etymological speaking "Ethnos" is the Greek for nation (Strict meaning a foreign nation) so you could have someone of sub-Saharan African parentage who was ethnically Finnish. (ie culturally and linguistically)
Bit I don't think that's what they mean
