When did we Americans lose our resolve?
http://rightnetwork.com ^ | 9/10/10 | Darryl Whorley

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?

To see your homeland under fire

And her people blown away

Have you forgotten when those towers fell?

We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell

And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden

Have you forgotten?

Illegals now do the resolving that Americans don’t want to do.

We lost our resolve, because a great deal of us lost our vision of the future.

We lost our vision of the future, because we forgot that America does well when it truly shines as the “City on a Hill”

When we forgot about how America can be the “City on a Hill”, which leads by example, we forgot about the fact that miraculous occurrences helped us win our independence, and falsely assume that our own strength wins the day.

When we falsely assume that our own strength wins the day, we forget that we are faced with numerous threats which we cannot win against by just our own strength, or just our own understanding, these threats are great, but we cannot make it through them without help, I admit that I am a religious person, and I believe that we really need God in the cases of radical islam rising, and we will be truly tested as to how well we believe in the power of Jesus Christ if we seek to live as he taught we should be living.

". . . when Truman fired MacArthur for wanting to push across the Yalu into China and attack the real enemy during the Korean war."

True enough...but if we go back that far, then we should probably include Patton's desire to immediately attack the Russians...tho, by treaty, they were "defined" as an ally.

You're right, Roosevelt and his successor totally misjudged the Communists. Truman was sending Russia a strong message when he ordered the nuking of Japan but Acheson clearly prevailed strategically.

"Wild Bill" Donovan actively sought out Communist agents for the Office of Strategic Services (now CIA) because of our trusted Russian "allies," thus inviting in moles I doubt have been eliminated even yet. Meanwhile, Communist spy Alger Hiss was in charge of creating the UN. It's hard to find a place to begin, isn't it?

The U.S. citizens have no resolved to save this country. They are total cowards. The U.S. is made up of 300,000,000 chicken sh’its.

It is okay to send our military overseas to fight wars in foreign countries, wars we don’t care about. They are being killed and maimed every day.

No. There is not one U.S. civilian citizen who will fight for our own county within our boarders because they want someone else to do it for them while the rest of our military are being killed and maimed.

Today, the U.S. is a country of pansies.

It is indeed....but I'll stick with the rot that became apparent in the early 70s and has grown worse ever since.

More's the pity.

I disagree, but the percentage of pansies does continue to grow.

I haven’t given up hope yet.

Not true.

MacArthur made one huge mistake and got many of our folks killed because of his ego. I can't share the facts with you right now because I'm going to bed soon. But there was a good/interesting article here on FR about a week ago about this. Maybe someone saved it and can share.

Also, seeing that MacArthur had such an ego, Truman didn't want to see him run for president.

Unfortunately, idiot Eisenhower became president. It was 8 years of vacuum. Like Obama, he also played golf nearly every day.

Thank you for your reply.

“Just how Obama wants it.”

Exactly because the pansies have been there for several generations. Someone may get HURT.

I think the defining date was the election of LBJ in 1964..though it might have been when JFK stole the 1960s election from Nixon

somewhere in that time is when it really got rolling...all the spit of WWII and the Cold War faded

All kinds of answers to that question. Maybe 1947, when the War Dept. was renamed Defense, and we have been defensive and suffering multiple Stockholm syndromes ever since.

Another good answer: When Reagan put O’Connor on the Supreme Court. That woman was a disaster, and the late Jerry Falwell warned she would be.

Another good answer, 1969, when Richard M. Nixon expanded the Great Society.

What about 1954, when the Senate censured Joe McCarthy for telling the truth as he knew it. Then in the 1992 debates, GHWB got all choked up about McCarthy’s “errors” of judgement after Billy Jeff invoked Prescott Bush attacking McCarthy.
