What get’s me is that instead of walking away from her problems she hung in there and got them solved. How many people in D.C. can say that?

"I have yet to see any Republican refute the notion tax cuts cause a deficit."

But tax cuts DO cause a deficit. Tax cuts bring so much more revenue into the treasury that the greedy politicians ALWAYS spend twice as much as they get.

Coal is cheaper than nuclear which is around 10 cents per KW, still your point is exactly right. They vilified it just like they vilify every power source.

It would not be shutting down the government as much as making Jabba the Hutt get up and walk to the other side of the room for his next meal. A little exercise in restraint and diligence would be a good thing for the imperial Court of the Potomac.

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Round Table

Gregory and DeeDee Meyers seem to be trying to equate the economic down turn to how Muslims are treated by Americans. No, terrorist came from all professions from the middle east and Congress does nothing about cancelling VISA, you might get skeptical about who is next to attack Americans.

Might as well be having McCain run again, economically speaking, Republicans are wasting time letting (tax cuts = deficits) rule the day

Axelrod on MTP - the goal of the new tax plan is not to have an impact by November, just have an impact.

Axelrod blaming Rep’s for not passing these tax breaks....like yesterday.

Gregory asks Axelrod what happened to “Recovery Summer”.....shows economic numbers. Axelrod - we’re losing less jobs now than under Bush....lololol. (Doesn’t sound like “hope” to me.) The real issue in November is what direction Americans want to go. Bush’s agenda was a disaster.

Great graph. Few of the Democrats will acknowledge it, they are too busy blaming Bush to consider reality objectively.

Great post as always, Bray.

In addition to coal, as you know, we have many other natural resources that we could be using instead of buying from other nations, some of which are enemies of the US - it would also create more jobs at home.

Whilst The Won put a moratorium on offshore drilling and is trying to kill leases, he’s given $2B for offshore drilling in Brazil (IIRC, his buddy Soros did a large investment in an oil co there), and now the US is going to guarantee $1B for a Mexican state oil company. Why are we giving Mexico $s for drilling when they have at least 1 billionaire and other rich dudes that could be investing in it (if they haven’t already). Latino votes? weakening the US? Buying eviron-wacko votes?

DNC Dave introduces the bent axel and he comes on the screen looking like a 200 year old vampire that hasn't slept in a couple of weeks, really rough.

DNC Dave opens with the administrations moves on the economy are all too late after Axel ducks the first few questions.

Axel was prepared with so many talking points--way too many for the short amount of time. It was quite a show to see just how desperate the regime has become in the last two years.

Axel goes on to blast off a huge list of talking points. I was writing as fast as I could the entire time and could barely keep up.

Here they are as I listed them:

1. Over the week the rats(including Obamba in his speech, press conference) have echoed that they have had "8 tax cuts for small business"--what they are and what effect is always ignored and never questioned by any of the drivebys.

2."It's time to stop playing games"--one of our brilliant pubbie senators fell into the trap of saying this earlier this week and now we are hearing it as a chatting point,(terrorists dems ,commies like to use our own stuff against us its their mo)we are not always the brightest bulbs on the political planet.

3. "Eight straight months of growth"--what kind of growth and how pathetic it is accd. to Kudlow never mentioned by the left.

4. "It's all the Republicans fault they won't let us pass anything"....--more of the same BS ignoring the fact that they control House, Senate and potus--never ever mentioned and never brought up by DBM host no matter what network they are on.

5."We have turned the economy around...the worst is behind us." Of course the real story here is how anyone can spend near two trillion dollars, destroy the future of all Americans and then claim that they have turned the economy around is astounding!

6. "We inherited a disaster from the last adm.(theme on its all GW's fault)its not our fault ,took ten years to create..." Of course they don't say anything about the eight and half million jobs created under Bush and all the terrific things he accomplished for the country, how Bush actually inherited not only 911 but a set of doctored books from Clinton adm.,turned it all around, took out Saddam and established respect for the country again!! Axel forgot all that....

7."Do you want to go back to the same thing that got us into this mess or move on with obama"....total distortion of how Raines, Dodd, Barney fag and others created the housing crisis that Bush tried to stop etc. etc. more lies.

8."We saved three and a half million jobs"-- of course statisticians have never ever measured such a nebulous claim as jobs saved but the influence of the DBM is so great,so pervasive they have astroturfed a myth into a near truth one more time trying to save their Marxist hero the zero man.More BS

9."We Created 750,000 jobs all for the middle class" this year alone,Kudlow says a good recovery would create almost that many in a month so they are bragging in baseball terms about batting .150 instead of .300--more spin that just won't stop.

10."We only want tax cuts for the middle class."that statement should read we don't spend any money on anyone we can't buy.

To prove most of the lefts arguments they have to lie and then get the DBM to repeat the lie so many times that Joe 6-Pak thinks its true when he hears it mentioned.

Of course the 600 billion bucks that would go to the top 2% could turn the economy around. That much money in the hands of producers (the rich) would and could create jobs but the regime can't buy any votes with that money so it's not important to them and is like holy water to their leaders.

Also its counter to Marxism it promotes Capitalism and not statism or Communismwe know by now who these people are.its high time to recognize it.

11."We turned the economy around"--coming out of a recession after spending almost two trillion with the weak numbers we have is a disgrace. But, they are putting the best face on it and DNC Dave will help them every time.

12."We only want infrastructure spending"--zero/axels new stimulus 50/100 billion more for infrastructure--govt. spending instead of free market stimulus same ol Marxist tripe.

13.Go after John Boehner--Boehner will become the new GW since people will eventually get tired of the whipping boy GW, Boehner will be next.

If our side does not counter all this he will become one of the most hated politicos ever--we need to counter all their lies/rhetoric from the start than they will move on to someone else.

14."We don't want to go back to the same gang that drove the bus into the ditch"--more spin of the myth as to how we got here. Ignoring they have been in control of Congress since 06 and so many other things. They never want to own the economy ever.

15."No tax cuts for rich." More BS--country can't afford it which is just so disingenuous since tax cuts for "the rich"(producers) can create true wealth for the country bringing back private industry jobs but not govt. jobs. So they want no part of free market enterprise only govt. controlled union type bought and paid for dnc type jobs. Its all BS.

16.Boehner is responsible for holding up tax cuts for 98% of the country ignoring once again that they are in control but can't pass their own legislation since their own side does not want to fall on any more swords. And of course DNC Dave never calls Axel on it.

Axel ducked a lot of questions especially about Obmacare which has become an albatross around their necks as Rush said it would and instead just says Americans are not interested in that only the economy we all know what that is about.

dnc Dave called him on not compromising with us and he blamed it on us. More banter about Rhambo going to Chicago since they pushed Daley out an it was over.

The guy got out a lot of talking points in a short amount of time but he knows they are on the way out it will just take a while.

4. “It’s all the Republicans fault they won’t let us pass anything”

If Democrats had good solid economic policies, they would have more Republican votes

Gregory asks Axelrod when obama’s economic recovery will be felt by America. Axelrod goes back to the millions (I swear it’s gazillions!) of jobs they claim to have “saved or created”.

We never knew how bad the real economy was. People have been treading water for a decade (huh?).

Gregory points out Americans have lost confidence in the direction we’re going w/re to the economy. Axelrod brings up Boehner - do Americans really want that? We don’t want to go back to the same folks/policies that drove the economy into the ditch. (ARRRGGGHHHH! wish we could take the keys away right now.)

Great link and the Laffer curve goes to what is going on with the adm. They want all things govt. and don’t want to give people, rich people, producers any fo their money back to provide jobs within a free enterprise system its like a silver bullet to their black hearts. They want it all spent by big govt. Socialist/Marxist style.
