At least the FCC does something (establish and enforce technical standards for radio emissions).

And today Ozero names a “carp czar”

.......Despite the fact that the great Lakes czar already has jurisdiction over invasive species in the great lakes. Somebody needs to start asking questions.

This is exactly the type of slash and burn that needs to happen in DC...but listening to Judd on CNBC the GOP establishment just doesn’t get it.

His big proposal was to reduce the appropriations spending 2% a year...thats just the discretionary spending Congress has.

INCREDIBLE!!!

He even stated that this wouldn’t hurt the entitlements there still would be a big comfortable safety net!!!

What is wrong with these idiots...the only safety net we need from the Government is the one on the side of our military ships to help the troops!!!

This all just can’t end well...

Christie haters need to check their meds. This guy is exactly what we need to take back congress and get stuff done on the national level. LEADERS who can effectively communicate, defend and execute common sense fiscal conservatism in blue states. I’d take him over some talentless orthodox drone with the ideologically “correct” talking points across the board.

No kidding. Even if these federal bureaucracies can’t be abolished, they should at least be consolidated and private call centers could handle the calls. The EPA, Interior, and Energy could be combined into a federal Dept of Natural Resources, for example. FBI, US Marshals, ATF, and DEA could be combined into a Federal Law Enforcement Agency.

How many boards and commissions does NJ have??!!

How many stars are there in the Universe? Every New Jersey municipality, county, town, borough and wide spot in the road has it's own complete school board; town council; tax collector; and police, fire, and public works departments.

Arnold Schwarzenegger should be forced to watch a video of Chris Christie on continuous loop - that was what he was elected to do in California.

Now we know who to blame: James Florio January 16, 1990 January 18, 1994 Democrat.
Christine Todd Whitman January 18, 1994 January 31, 2001 Republican.

The department of energy covers security at nuclear plants. Personally I think that is a national security issue and should fall under the jurisdiction of the military like many bridges, canals, and locks.

A $20,000,000,000 Great Lakes Czar and he & the money are gone?

That’s a lot of carp. A few bass thrown in there, too. Perch even. I’ll even go with a catfish.

This is one man not preaching about transparency in government,he’s actually pulling apart the curtains hiding the true cost of the monstrosity that has become our government.
This is the change Barack and company did not hope for.

If not lower taxes today,at least the hope of them in the future. The beast is so bloated that it will take a long time to starve it.

"required authorities to get clearance from the governor's office to hire lobbyists or spend more than $250 on travel expenses."

In WA state, some of the commissions and advisory boards are nothing but lobbying groups. The governor was under a lot of pressure to cut the advisory boards and commissions. So, she eliminated some, combined others and then made then full time depts of government. One of her new creations just spent 100 million dollars to buy a working gravel pit and dock on an island so that they could shut it down. The purchase was not on any approved budget, so they just took the money from some clean up fund. $100 million!

It won’t happen overnight, but slowly as the state, and one day the federal government, takes less there will even be jobs for those bureaucratic parasites as the economy shakes off the shackles of excessive government.
