The Washington Times reports today on a little-noticed aspect of the administrations latest and likely fruitless effort at stimulus: It doesnt include funding for green jobs.
The long delays typical with environmentally friendly projects combined with reports of green stimulus funds being used to create jobs in China and other countries, rather than in the U.S. appear to have killed the administrations appetite for pushing green projects

since each ‘green job’ costs something like 2.8 regul;ar jobs, this is probably a GOOD thing
I think that is beacause it is against his “religion” for American’s to have more jobs of any kind (we are unworthy, you know)
Today Obama unveiled his Greens Jobs initiative in which he will play golf so often that the golf courses will have to employ millions of new workers!
Can someone name me ONE, just ONE city that got money to “save” police or fire jobs (not including pre-existing hiring programs targeting cops or firefighters like COPS, COPS-MORE, or SAFER) from Porkulus I? Barry keeps bragging about it but I know MANY towns that laid off police and fire personnel and not one mention of how many were “saved” by the Saviour.
Green jobs are fine as long as they are not subsidized by the government or any toehr public entity.
Green jobs should be the explicit purview of the free market economy.
Had a business associate visit BP a couple of years ago, the BP guy set down, said, what are you doing to go green, the guy said, well, we recycle, the BP guy said, meeting over, come back when you are serious about going green.
Green is the new (Commie) Red anyway...
