A plane just crashed near SFO in San Bruno, CA. Prayers to all affected.

Oh dear. The screen shots I saw on Fox looked like lots of houses were engulfed and this happened so fast, I hope and pray your friend is all right.
Unless it was a tanker, fuel from an airplane would have been burned up already.
I think it's a gas main. Why no one has figured it out is beyond me.
Local media: Gas line explosion is the cause of the massive fire in San Francisco near SFO Airport. Many homes have burned to the ground.

There were 2 asteroid fly-by’s yesterday, both were closer than the moon by far.
Don’t think NASA still flies from Moffet, and it’s maybe 30 miles south of here. Don’t think planes have anything to do with it. Can now see planes flying over the fire, I think they’re dropping fire retardant on it.
Looks like a burning gas main to me, that continuous roaring orange flame.
Either a plane or a gas pipeline.
Lots of fuel in the center of it all.
Woman, schuman.
You’re observations are as valuable as any one else’s. Don’t prejudge yourself, but don’t make false assumption either. Just report.
At 200% zoom the main part of the flames look like they’re
comming from that street on the left side of the pic...
I have been looking for natural gas lines maps. the ones I have aren’t detailed but show major lines in that approximate are.
Possibly Pelosi’s head exploded when someone mentioned that Boehner was going to be the next Speaker?
The homes were all-wood?
Odd they claim a gas pipeline when the fuel is liquid ...
Gas line burns are a long, high pressure jet of flame coming out horizontally, with a larger area-sized explosion first as the fuel-air mixture blows up.
This is more likely a pressurized liquid.
I can't help but think plane because it's so close to an airport. It's just a guess, though.
per http://www.firedispatch.com/ for San Mateo County, it still shows plane crash.
Looks like it is natural gas explosion that has basically levelled the block +.
