The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) awarded GLOCK Inc. a 10-year contract worth up to $40 million.
The deal makes available for the first time the GLOCK 22 Gen4 and GLOCK 27 .40 caliber pistols to all ATF agents, Smyrna, Ga.-based GLOCK said.

LOL. Not so much these days. I've diversified my holdings.
I don't really like Glocks. I feel the trigger pull is variable and stiff. Just a personal observation of my particular Glock that I sold after I embarrassed my self in a friendly shooting competition with the owner of a S&W.
In the hands of the ATF I'd suspect that they will be trained in the proper safety quirks of the weapon, mainly to keep your finger out off the trigger. However safety with weapons is an attitude of attention to detail, professionalism and being somewhat respectful of the weapon you are carrying. Men that need to 'show off" and use a weapon as a fashion accessory are dangerous. ... to themselves and the public. I've not been overly impressed with any of the ATF personnel that I've seen at the range or being interviewed on television.
They actually make the FBI look good in comparison. However their mission statement and leadership as the enforcers of the federal laws makes them somewhat of an opponent to certain libertarians and those that hold the second amendment as sacrosanct. If they're happy with a .40 caliber weapon, good for them. I'd rather have a .45, but as I've stated, it is only a preference that I have. "Stopping power" , magazine capacity and the rest of the arguments to me are usually pointless if you don't maintain your shooting skills.
If the officers shot IPSC and trained weekly then I'd suspect that a .22 would provide the lethality instead of the spray and pray that I've seen in some videos.
I’ve shot thousands of rounds from my GLOCK .40.
I love it.
The ATF is a revenue agency. Their job is to collect taxes.
Why do they need $40M in weaponry?
Wore this one to work yesterday.
Get paid up front.
They already have all those that they want.
That video is such a classic.
$40 mill in Glocks at probably $350 a copy? That is over 114,000 handguns! WTF does the ATF need with 114,000 handguns? Even the idiots at the ATF can’t steal or lose that many.
I thought that the batFAGs were already the only ones ‘profezznal nuf to hannle a glock fotay’...
If Obama's army had serious weaponry, but poor training, they could be picked off -- and then citizens would have serious weaponry (and probably superior discipline).
But if Obama's army has only handguns, they could be intimidating to many sheeple, but would not significantly arm the rebels who loot their corpses.
Ka-Boom!
I’ve got an HK USP and a Glock 30. I much prefer the G30.

That's pure BS, and passing rumors that have been shot down repeatedly as untrue doesn't help our cause. The reference in the Obmacare Bill refers to the Surgeon General and his/her corp of health care workers. (or as Obama would say, "corpse of healt care workers.")
I have an HK P30 and USPC .45. I test fired a couple of Glocks before I bought the HKs ... liked both of the HKs much better.
SnakeDoc
As do I.
I've read the language in the bill. Obama can callup a lot of people, establish an officer corps, and use this army for what he thinks is best. Perhaps it will be for healthcare. But it doesn't have to be.
couldn’t have said it any better.
