I think burning the Koran is a silly idea, but it shows the hypocrisy of liberals who bat not an eye when Christian icons are desecrated, and has also brought the cowards out in full force. The reverend could call it off now and would still have made a very good point. I predict he will.

Personally, it is unbecoming for a Christian to burn a Koran, or any other book for the sake of appearances. This is a publicity stunt on the part of the church leaders. After all, if they just wanted to burn the Koran for the sake of burning the Koran, and making a statement to their congregation, the pastor would have without much fanfare.
The church congregation is within their rights to do whatever they wish to with the Koran so long as they don’t use the book to bash people over the head with. As a Christian, I don’t support such public displays.
We’ve entered the era of guerrilla psychological warfare.
Our Government doesn’t have the will to fight and WIN this war - the war of Islam versus the West - so they have already lost.
Maybe, for the sake of the long term survival of our society, we need individuals to stoke the fire.

You know, I would sure like some publicity like the preacher is getting. What if I put a stack of Korans on the street, then called the press that I was about to burn them. Then, when a reporter or two arrived, I actually did it and sent a video to Youtube! Would the pres and pope and others be screaming at me, thus making me famous?!

If you are going to disrespect the quran, this is the most effective threat:

I think this would bother muslims more than burning.
Amazing that something as insignificant as this could finally start WWIII for real. Not as if that’s happened before...
As a patriotic American, I support this pastors right to freedom and liberty, and that freedom and liberty grants him the right to burn a Koran. I do not support his decision to use his position as the head of a church to make a public display of such actions.
If you are suggesting that anyone who doesn’t support his right is a coward, I beg to differ. You have the freedom of conscience to support him. It’s your choice, but I won’t fault you or anyone’s choice if they don’t support him, unless their reason is motivated by fear of retaliation.
There are a number of U-tube videos of burning Korans ~ I just tried logging into several of them but they are currently OVERSUBSCRIBED.
