President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has sent a letter to US President Barack Obama to ask him to stop the plans by a small church in Florida, the United States, to burn the Koran, the Muslim holy book, to commemorate the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Heru Lelono, a presidential special adviser on information and public relations, said Thursday that Yudhoyono considered the plan a threat to world peace.

Yudhoyono said Indonesia would condemn the act.

The Dove World Outreach Center from Gainesville, Florida — led by Pastor Terry and Sylvia Jones — announced the controversial plan to commemorate the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Having just watched a video of a 12-year-old boy in Indonesia slitting the throats of three Christians (one of them a 3 -year-old boy),

I would ask that Indonesia take steps to punish the perpetrators and guarantee the human rights of all its citizens.

Who cares what she says? I’m still mad at her for breaking up the Beatles!

(Just a joke, people. I need a laugh as we gird for the clash of civilizations - or or civilization vesrus savagery - that appears inevitable.)

Petreaus and -23bama have together politicized this, nationalized it and internationalized it. Without their yappings, this would be a non-story. Yeah, korans would be burned, but like a tree falling in a forest, nobody would have heard anything. But now that it is nationalized and internationalized, if this Church deems to go ahead, they should go ahead, and full-steam ahead.

Hey Yudhoyono, why don't you tell the islamist to stop attacking killing people in the name o allah? Oh Yeah, that's what I thought, your afraid they would kill you! Who cares if this guy burns a quaran? It won't kill anybody or maim them, well, it will cause the muslims to kill and maim, but they would do that anyway. Start by making your own stop before you tell us to stop, yours killed thousands of noncombatants in a few hours one OUR soil and you should have prevented that!

Again the sabre rattles and sharp fangs of militant Islam become exposed as the "muslim street" goes into a rabid bloodlusting frenzy. This is not the first time we have seen this and it won't be the last. The "muslim street" has learned over the years that their rage and violence gives birth to concessions and rewards from an ever compliant America and Europe who will willingly sacrifice their own convictions, freedom and treasure in an attempt to temper the flames of Islamic rage.

And so, like good dhimmis, and in the name of diversity and "religious tolerance" once again we are called upon to sacrifice and thrust another of our own into the volcano of Islamic rage hoping once more that we can appease and quell the insatiable hunger of our perpetually offended Islamic overlords.

When will we come to the painful yet bitter realization that all that our nation stands for, liberty, freedom and democracy is offensive to these people?

We are at war FRiends. Please wake up!

Oh good grief. Islam is a threat to world peace. PERIOD.

Exactly. The greatest anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-individual, anti-life collective in the history of civilization...has/is/will continue to be a constant threat to world peace.

Fislam and the barack it rode in on.

"can’t do that"

So look for the ACLU to sue President Hussein for sticking his nose into the business of a Church?

Where are all the moderate Muslims speaking out for the right of someone to do something they consider offensive? We keep hearing about them moderates, but they are always nowhere to be seen when there is any controversy like this.

I’m beginning to think they are like O’s birth certificate...we keep hearing about it but no-one has seen it.

Boy, this nutcase “preacher” has got to be loving all the attention he’s getting. He has the world’s leaders’ panties in a bundle and hasn’t taken a single action.

Ok, folks. What is this distracting us from? What are Rahm and Soros and crew doing behind the curtain this time?

Last time it was Ms. Shepard and racism used to distract us from the 2300 page financial reform bill. Now it’s religion?

can’t do that, seperation of church and state and all

Sometimes the Christians find the separation of church and state to be beneficial. In any case, the rest of the world sure doesn't like our freedom of speech, certainly doesn't respect it.
