Nine years after the heroes of Flight 93 rebelled against the terrorists who hijacked their plane -- crashing it into a field in Shanksville, Pa., instead of allowing it to smash into an unknown, high-profile target in Washington, D.C. -- the design of a memorial to honor the 40 passengers and crew who died remains a subject of bitter controversy.
Since 2005, when plans for the Flight 93 National Memorial were unveiled, a group of critics, including the father of one of the heroes who died, have protested loudly that the memorial's design is rife with Islamic symbols. They haven't wavered in their protest -- even though some design elements have been changed -- and they plan to run a full-page ad opposing the design in a local newspaper on Friday and Saturday, when the nation will pause to remember September 11.

strange. they use eminent domain to steal some of the land for this memorial. then both the NY and PA memorials say more about the perpetrators than the victims. thanks to the left, we have nationalized not only the auto, healthcare, and financial industries but also co-dependence.
A simple question: why is it necessary to offend the people who’s loved ones perished? Change the design of the memorial. It’s an easy solution.

Sheez - this is like putting a Swastika on the D-day memorial, or buddist symbols on the memorial to the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor.
Am I the only one getting increasingly alarmed at the Islamic invasion in our country, and more importantly, the waving the white flag response by our ‘leaders’ (and I use the term loosely)????
Once the number of critics are cut to 2 or 3, it's probably safe to proceed. Until then, a redo is in order.

If - in 2002 - You would have told me that 10 years later after 9/11 there would still be no memorial for the victims of 9/11, I’d have said you would be crazy.
If - in 2002 - You would have told me that 10 years later after 9/11 that not only would there be no memorial but that people actually want to build a mosque at the 9/11 site, I’d call you insane.

But the group that is building the memorial says that the design is nothing of the sort, and that it has grown weary of the argument.
“The Flight 93 National Memorial partners have said all there is to say about the conspiracy theorists,” Joanne Hanley, the National Park Service's superintendent of the Flight 93 Memorial, told FoxNews.com. “We will not re-engage with these people.”
I hasten to add that the original design, if I recollect correctly, was called “the Crescent of Healing.” And it doesn't look as if the design has changed in any significant way.
The planned crescent design whether intentional or accidental is wholly inappropriate because of its clear association with Islam. Certainly a simple monument maybe like the Viet Nam War Memorial would be more appropriate for these heroes. Imagine if the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor had been designed to look like a pagoda or torii gate.

The design is ugly, However, I do not see a crescent.
Satan controls the hearts and minds of these people. They fully know what they are doing and why. America will BE an Islamic nation in less than two generations.
