COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A lawyer for a runaway Christian convert from Ohio who was also an illegal immigrant says the 18-year-old woman has gained permanent residency in the United States.

Yes - she seems to be just a normal young woman trying to live a normal life. But in her circumstances, that simple act requires more courage than most of us (except the military, of course) never show in an entire lifetime.

“The statements by Stemberger and Oshry “permanently harmed” his personal and professional reputation”

I doubt it. What permanently harmed his reputation was trying to force a young girl into a situation where most people instinctively felt she would be in danger. They don’t need any blogger to tell them he might be in touch with radicals. The case itself warns them.
