Cup of Serenity would like to apologize to TraidMommies, and to all breastfeeding mothers for the incident in our store yesterday. We are in full support of the planned nurse-in and will also support a "Breastfeeding Friday," and breastfeeding at anytime. We hope to turn our mistake into a way to help mothers everywhe...
Obviously, none of these exibitionists moms were muslim.
Yeah, let's all head over there to check out the pervs. Afterward we can find the nearest nude beach and see if there any of those creepy pervs over there too.
That would be one of my inlaws - anytime, any place, no cover at all, get over it.
>>Apparently the coffee shop picked on the wrong pair of breasts to offend.<<
Maybe the breastfeeding mother shouldn’t have been so offended. She was asked to be discrete but that was just too much for her. According to Tami on the FB page.
So they did “damage control” so as to stay in business.
I don’t like it when Rainbow Push extorts. I don’t like it when anyone does.
I’ve never understood how “outside food” could be outside, since it was now inside.........
Come sit at our family's table in Outback sometime. And she gets all huffy if you say anything - "that's what they're FOR!"
I’m so sorry.
The coffee shop had poor financial results. It was about to go tits-up because it wasn’t staying a-breast of current trends.
It becomes about the women - not the babies. We had a similar situation in my city. Believe me, it was about the mom. The kid was 2 years old and could easily drink from a cup. Mommy wanted her 15 minutes. It caused quite a controversy because many women just nurse without causing a scene. This woman wanted attention for herself. She did not attempt to cover herself and purposely wanted to offend those in her viewing area in the restaurant. Some women are just jerks.
I don’t know where you get that “older men don’t like to see women nursing without cover”.
My grandfather relates that when he was a kid, you saw women nursing in public all the time and no one thought anything of it.
I’ve travelled in many countries and seen women nursing in public in all kinds of settings, no one notices at all. It’s ubiquitous.
It’s our hypersexualized and politicized culture that makes people see breastfeeding in any other light than simply feeding a baby (or a militant act).
Good point.
Plus, I wanna know what the contents of said milk is. Shouldn’t there be FDA approved, readily readable labeling of these milk “jugs”? How many servings come in these containers...how much vitamin A is supplied...how much cholesterol is there?
Shouldn’t the FDA be testing this milk before it is offered to even the tiniest of customers in government approved restaurants. Will that affect the restaurant’s health score card on the wall?
The amount of extra cash I’ve had to throw down in tips, I tell ya...
Oh Geez.
Well, the only good part about it is, they don’t breastfeed forever.
There was a story posted here in FR recently about an imam in Egypt who says that it's ok for an unmarried man and unmarried woman to get together in private if it's only for breastfeeding.
I kid you not. It was real.
(Sorry for the sick savage segue, but your comment reminded me of that story.)
Will breasts start coming with “Have you seen me?” advertisements?
She forgot to ask them to “leave room for cream”.....
What makes you think the women aren't covered? Nursing mothers feed their kids all the time around here and I've never seen any of them uncovered.
I remember that too. Very strange indeed...
Next family outing maybe suggest having dinner at a strip joint - 'They're for that TOO' lol
