President Obama apparently strayed off-prompter briefly Monday. This somewhat whiny reference seems like something that would come from a politician exhausted by marathon campaigning and beaten down by the opposition, which is odd for someone whose party is still in control of Washington and who spent the better part of the summer on vacation:
Obama was in Milwaukee to speak at the Milwaukee Laborfest, attended by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. He used the speech to promote his $50 billion infrastructure plan and to criticize Republicans ahead of crucial midterm elections.
Some powerful interests who had been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time and theyre not always happy with me. They talk about me like a dog. Thats not in my prepared remarks, but its true, he told the union crowd. If by like a dog Obama means that every one year of his presidency feels like seven, Im forced to agree with him. Otherwise its a little insulting, if for no other reason than that there are many breeds of dogs that could run the country at a lower unemployment rate.
How exactly does one talk about somebody like a dog? Or are the powerful interests talking to a dog or are they speaking as a dog? Are the powerful interests dog haters? Are the powerful interests democrats who are trying to get re-elected? Its anybodys guess.
Don't know. He won't show us the transcripts.
He must be feeling real sorry for himself. Muslims hate dogs.
Oh yeah, I was making a big assumption and giving him the benefit of the doubt. I sould have said, “you went to 4th grade didn’t you?”. (even that might be a stretch)
“They talk about me like a dog.”
Well Mr. Pres_ent, maybe if you stop licking your (.....)
The last thing he want's is to loose the 2012 election which is becoming more of a reality each day now. I believe he thinks that quitting is better than loosing. He won't take the rap for loosing. Better Biden or Hillary take the rap.
He will come up with some sort of health problem or family issue that makes it impossible for him to continue as president.
Completely. 1000% agree. I have never heard an American use this sort of phrase before. I have heard Muslims use it.
Signal to jihadis?
Too bad George Steponallofus wasn’t there this time to help him recover.
It was aimed at muslims or he's playing the race card to cover why he's taking so many vacations and playing golf all the time instead of working.
These ‘worshipfest’ trips continue to do him more harm than good. He lets his guard down and reveals his true self in front of his minions. The ‘dog’ statement is awkward for one thing, and confirms what a baby he is. That cadence he gets into with these crowds is disgusting.
Bark Obama, the gift that keeps on giving. Continue to roll up those sleeves and show us how unpresidential you are.

ROTFLOL
has anyone pointed out that talking about someone “like a dog” is one of the things that Muslims find most offensive?
(just a hair above showing you the bottom of your shoe or treating you like a pig)
ROFL
Not a chance. Not a chance in hell, skimask.
talking about someone like a dog is a mainstream phrase and not remotely associated with muslims. it may be more common in the black vernacular, but i am not african american and i have heard it commonly used.
Hey, whatever works. Maybe he got a two-fer!
“dog” = a really bad movie
.... so yes, this Administration definitely qualifies as a “dog”
I hear that expression, “talk to me like I was a dog,” all the time. It has nothing to do with his Muslim affliation.
people are trying to make some muslim connection here and it’s just silly. there may be all kinds of reasons to think obams is a muslim but use of this phrase has absolutely no relevance to that.
