The Left Keeps Losing Everywhere
American Thinker | 9/6/10 | Bruce Walker

Posted on 09/06/2010 9:06:59 AM PDT by Nachum

Many conservatives look at their first chance to defeat the left in six years when nervous Democrats try to explain away Obama's disastrous leftward lurch. The left is not only looking at a big defeat in America in two months, it has been getting slobber-knocked all over the modern industrialized world.

Five months ago, in the British General Election, the Labour Party, which had been in power since the early 1990s, suffered a devastating defeat, losing 91 seats in the House of Commons. Although David Cameron's Conservative Party had to form a coalition with the yuppyish Liberal Party, Conservatives are still the senior party in this government and Cameron resonates well with British voters.

Last September, Angela Merkel's Christian Democrat Party soundly trounced the Social Democrats, and the Christian Democrats' traditional coalition ally, the Free Democrats, gained enough support so that Merkel could end the "grand coalition" of her center-right party with the socialist SDP and form a more natural governing alliance with the Free Democrats.

...nervous Democrats try to explain away obama's disastrous leftward lurch.

It isn't a leftward lurch at all. It is merely the continuation of his agenda. hussein has always been a big-government socialist/fascist/elitist. If the (thankfully dying) MSM wasn't so thoroughly infiltrated and controlled by leftists, they would have made hussein's socialistic bent well known ahead of the election. hussein obama is so obviously anti-business, anti-liberty, anti-capitalism, anti-American and un-American there is no way he could have gotten elected if the MSM hadn't conspired to water down his leftist characteristics.

Gay marriage is a slam dunk. Norm Crosby was making happy little jokes about it on the Jerry Lewis Telethon of all places last night.

The left is ramming it to us everywhere, with czars, the EPA, rules, regulations, taxes and political correctness.

How anybody could make that into a win for us I have yet to figure out.

People get to express their disgust with the left this November by voting for weak, spineless Rino’s who will help the Democrats drink our blood and spend our gold. The idiots here in Arizona just re-nominated John McCain. Him and Kirk and Castle are just like Democrats. Some victory.

Gotta love the sound of that. More power to the good hats.

Ya ain't gonna undo it all in one election cycle, my friend, but the momentum, inertia, and weight is on our side. A floodgate of 40 years worth of pent-up frustration and anger at the left has opened, and there's no closing it now.

Keep your chin up. We're gaining on them.

Even though I would be the first one calling for an absolute inhalation of the left in a swift slam dunk, you have made an excellent point!

I'm even advocating electing a dem this Nov. to replace John McCain because there's no way they could ever do the same damage that prick has done to conservatives over the years.

because illegal immigrants would be given diversity spots over
qualified legal kids. they would be moved up in academic world,
political, etc. and many of them would continue the type of
antiamerican agenda we see in california. i think they
should be thankful for american education they received,
go to college in mexico and help raise the standard of
living and politics in their own beautiful country.

Hmm.....you may have a point there. We're between a rock and a hard place with that situation. Do you root for the devil you know, or the devil you don't know? Dunno.

Either way, the people of Arizona have screwed themselves by giving McNuts another shot.

Not as much as I hate advocating it, but it's a strategy which should be worth it at this particular time.

John McCain and all rinos are a menace to the republican party. Republican's here at FR and everywhere need to start realizing this. The dems use rinos against us, especially in Arizona where there's open primaries.

If namby pambies want to moderate and rinocate there's enough room in the democrat party for them! WE do not need these liberal coddlers dragging conservatives down.

McCain? Who cares what he does? He’s old. Let him die and then replace him.

Why elect a young democrat and then give him the benefits of incumbancy? It makes no sense to me.

Norm Crosby was hilarious last night. He told the joke about the two antennas that got married. The wedding was so so but the reception was great.

Conservatives care what he does because he hands victories to dems. Maybe you're to naive to see this. It makes absolutely no sense to keep him around when he has 0 principles, and disses conservatives at will.

I's rather have a dem do this. At least I can keep the dem at bay!
