Friday September 3, 2010CBC Fails to Mention Discovery Channel Gunman was an Environmental Activist
By Patrick B. Craine September 3, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) A Canadian pro-life leader has lambasted the CBC and its flagship news show The National for what he says was its extreme bias in covering this weeks hostage-taking in Maryland by an environmental extremist. In their Wednesday night coverage of James J. Lees enviro-terrorism at the Discovery Communications building in Silver Springs, Maryland, The National failed to mention Lees environmental motivations and wrapped up the piece in 45 seconds. Imagine how differently theyd treat it if Lee was an anti-abortion extremist instead, commented Jim Hughes, National President of Campaign Life Coalition. When abortionist Dr. Bernard Slepian was killed in Buffalo by an anti-abortion extremist, The National carried a nine-minute segment detailing the incident and past instances of violence against abortionists. Lee took three hostages at the headquarters of Discovery Communications, which runs the Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel (TLC), at around 1 pm. Wednesday, carrying a gun and apparently wearing at least one explosive. Several hours later he was shot and killed by police after he aimed his gun at a hostage. In a manifesto published online, Lee had called on the Discovery Channel and TLC to "stop all shows glorifying human birthing." He demanded that they feature shows discouraging the overpopulation of "parasitic human infants" to save the earth from global warming and pollution. The CBC report described Lee as a man who has railed against the Discovery Channels programming for years, but offered no explanation of his objections to the programming. CTV News, on the other hand, described him as an environmental activist. This coverage is just more evidence of the CBCs incredible bias, said Hughes. The public broadcaster does the nation a disservice by withholding crucial information on such a major story. |

I am shocked an affiliate of NBC would FORGET to mention it. We all know they are great journalists
It is funny of course how quickly this story dropped off the radar after it was discovered that this psycho was an atheist (according to his MySpace page) leftist environazi radical. Had he claimed to have subscribed to some flavor of Christianity, or, heck, like Timothy McVeigh, “looked like” he did as such, we’d still be reading about this guy today.
Not a peep out of Al Gore? Where is the blubbering pervert?
We have many enemies within, the so called main stream media is one of them
For example, this is a Canadian version article, and it appears as the 2nd article on the Canadian page.

I felt this was an important enough feature to post you about because you might miss a story that might be important to you!
LifeSiteNews has a number of reporters that report on pro-life news, pro-family news, as well as conservative Christian as well as Catholic news.

While it is nice to see them run around omitting facts because it doesn’t fit their imagery, you have to admit this nut case had a point. We need to stop this fascination about having thousands of kids and parading them around on TV. As a god fearing man it just seems wrong and unhealthy for all of us in general. I’d like to raise my hand and volunteer to take out OCTO MOM myself !
Left wing extremist and Al Gore proselyte.
Not a peep out of Al Gore? He's busy working on an explanation of why "hide the decline" is sound science.
He'll get back to us...
Of course not. It doesn’t fit the PRAVDA of the hive collective. It’s already into the memory hole....
Recently, the New York Times posted an extremely unfavorable article about Planned Parenthood, so I am holding back criticism in the hope that there might some favorable reporting.
The whole left wing of the country (Congress, Media, Presidency) must be sacred to death by the popularity of TEA Party as well as how well conservative media life FoxNews is doing...
In short, we are still kicking their rear ends in many respects.
Sort of like in the Old Testament how a few Israeli's defeated must stronger opponents strictly based on their strong faith.
And, come to think of it, the Israeli's are still doing this today for the same reason...

In general, there are studies that the United States, Canada, and Western Europe have suffered a population decline. If the United States had not aborted 43 million plus babies, we would be in better shape in terms of Social Security, as their would be more people paying in.
As it is, the Western world is aging, and is starting to have to few younger people to take care of the aging population...
I’m not saying we shouldn’t have as many kids as we want within the confines of a home. But these folks on these shows are just abusing their natural ability to reproduce and it conveys a messages that you can have 12 kids without the means to support them because some channel will pay you thousands to put them on nightly at 9pm.
I’m sure they would have ‘missed’ if he had been a member of a right wing group too... /s
And single moms are a problem today.
Teaching abstinence in lieu of sex education is the way to go.
Some of the welfare moms have more babies to get more benefits.
They are not having babies because of love but to get access to tax dollars.
So from that perspective, I would agree...
Just a minor oversight/s
