Calling themselves the Young Guns, three members of America's House of Representatives are about to publish a template for new era of Republican domination in Congress.

With the economy failing to live up to President Barack Obama's hopes for a strong recovery - unemployment remains just below ten percent - Republicans are poised for major gains on Nov 2, when all of the House and a third of Senate seats is contested in midterm elections.

I like Ryan, but Cantor has become a major disappointment.

I've never heard of McCarthy.

All three of them are self-serving egomaniacs driven only by ambition for power. Take my word for it.

In other word, they are acting like politicians?
Imagine that!

Former president George W Bush and the Republican party hierarchy have been denounced for betraying conservative principles

That's quite the understatement.

I’m not impressed by the Hollywood political hype, but that’s just me. I’m kind of sick of politicians that talk a good line but always look out for themselves.

Political Parties should spell out what most of their legislator candidates stand for (call it a contract) and we the people can use that to determine:

1- if we wish to vote for them
2- as a means to record their success

I saw Canto being asked by Laura Ingraham about will the GOP repeal the obama care.

After that interview I was nearly wanting to smash the TV out.
He refused at first to say they will repeal it instead saying they’re try and de-fund it then when asked and asked by Laura on this he said yes we would like to see it repealed but it was a half hearted comment and it seems the GOP or he at least has no balls to repeal this Govt take over.

still this comes as no surprise where are the GOP sticking up for AZ on all these political witch hunt lawsuits, homosexual agenda into our schools too, English language being the official language of the Govt?

The list is endless and does any republican in office besides a couple of women have any balls what so ever to speak up, speak out and demand that the likes of the justice dept be investigated and split up

Nothing wrong with criticizing Bush. He pissed away a Republican majority and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pass a real conservative agenda.

If Republicans would have acted like Republicans after 1994, we wouldn't be in this mess now.

I’m critical of Bush where he deserves it.

When Congress and Bush passed their tax cuts I wrote my Senators and Congressman each time and told them I didn’t want any tax cuts unless they had the guts to correspondingly cut spending. That is still my feeling. Politicians love tax cuts but they rarely have the guts to actually cut spending. That is reckless political gamesmanship and un-conservative imho.

Paul Ryan is articulate, intellectual and conservative... everything that Bush is not.

Bush was a good man but was not ready to be a great president. Compassionate conservatism has turned out to be an abysmal failure. Paul Ryan’s road map would go a long way in reversing course from Big Government Republicanism and Democrat Socialism.

Kevin McCarthy is from CA. He’s the Chief Deputy Whip.
Smart man. I like him.

According to my NumbersUSA report Haley Barbour (once RNC Chair) is saying some pro-illegal immigration stuff like we need more Mexicans and amnesty. Mark my words the GOP is going to vacillate on illegal immigration and do nothing to stop it just like Bush and McCain did. Big business, if they had their druthers, wants 40 million illegals here.

Maybe Cantor is trying to redeem himself in the eyes of conservatives. I’m interested in what Paul Ryan has said, and given a majority, they might even be able to get some really good things done.

Hmmmmm...let's see:

1) two attempts to pass "comprehensive immigration reform", aka amnesty
2) TARP
3) Stimulus 1 and 2
4) Dubai Ports World
5) Harriet Meyers (sp?)
6) unprecedented (at the time) expansion of the federal government's size and scope
7) Operation TIPS
8) No Child Left Behind
9) "Islam is a religion of peace"
10) hundreds of thousands of troops sent to fight terrorism overseas, but our own borders and coastlines left wide open

That's 10 reasons to be critical of Bush, just off the top of my head.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

He refused at first to say they will repeal it instead saying they’re try and de-fund it

Purely as a matter of political strategy, if the pubbies have a majority in either house, they can refuse to fund commiecare. Repealing it would require the ability to overried a presidential veto in both houses. Not funding it simple. Repealing it is nigh-on impossible so long as 0 remains pres.

Immigration from Mexico was reduced by 66% under bush

Tarp was only half spent by bush

Required to be paid back

Paid back with interest

It has been paid back

ReagN did amnesty

Bush was the one true conservative president

Bush reactionaries have their congress and president right now.

Well, maybe I will just get a list for Reagen and one for Nixon..ha.
Leave it to the Bush Bashers to do their Monday AM quarterbacking...You all sound like Obama....”Its Bush’ fault!”

How about the Young Guns just grow the F up and come up with a plan and some points of what they want to do and then communicate that to people without sounding MORE intellectual or academic than even Obama.

Oh yeah, Cantor , Ryan and whoever...they are going to be pure and brilliant all at the same time.

Lets just focus on what’s ahead...Bush Bashing is Obama’s job, not ours.
