The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
WOW! You rock!
You have a lifetime memory now!
Thanks very much for sharing your wonderful experience with us!
Now how did THEY get that wonderful photo and the American press missed it?
Thanks again, jlyspio. 3 of my kids studied Swedish, so they might be able to help me translate that first one. (The other is fluent in Russian, but unfortunately, he's not home......in fact, he's in a country that speaks.......Russian!)
I'll ask the two who will be home over Thanksgiving break to help me read it. :)
(People are waking up, I tell ya.......it's a GOOD thing! :)
Thanks for the link, DrDeb.
I may get repetitious here, but isn't it great to find out how many people understand who this man is? And isn't it great that so many are finally 'getting it' about him for the first time? (And aren't you glad that WE figured him out from day one?? :)
Character, leadership, integrity, morality, patriotism, courage.
We had a great President from 2001 -2009, and we may not see his likes again.
Yes, we did have him figured out from day one — and no, I don’t think we will see his likes again soon!
However, I am thankful that the MAJORITY of Americans now see him for the “humble, witty, caring, kind and friendly man that he is”. Of course the pseudo-cons at FR and the pseudo-liberals within the MSM will never ‘get it’ — which says more about them than it does about him!
This had to just kill the NYT:

A Dallas Cowboys fan wearing a president George W. Bush mask holds a sign calling for a Cowboys win.
