The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
You are welcome. He is a great man indeed.
So excited for your Thursday plans--can't wait to hear all about it!!!!
<a President who so obviously loves people (and these people love him right back)!
I would love to meet GWB.
Amen.
I love this one:
Don't you just know that President Bush had a special word for this Marine?!
I LOVE how many youngish people we are seeing with his book! That bodes well for our country.
Great Man, great pix..
thank you ma’am!
But horrible formatting on my part! I must need a lesson. I promise that everything was lined up properly when I previewed!
You are welcome, Dolly!!
It is just like Christmas isn’t it?!
Did you see the Oprah interview? I just loved the interaction between GWB and his parents, particularly his Mom . . . You can tell they (Mom and son) REALLY enjoy kidding each other. As GWB has always stated, he gets his eyes from his daddy and his mouth from his mother!
Awesome pictures! He looks like he’s having a blast!
I love the look he gives little kids...like he really
understands them...which he does! :D
dmd25, thank you for these wonderful pics. President Bush looks sooo happy and relaxed! Wow.....wish my local Barnes& Noble or Borders would do a book signing...!
Great pics. Missed Oprah, but caught Lauer and Hannity. Just really nice to see how at peace he is.
OUR President looks content, happy, sweet, and has that fun loving twinkle that we grew to love.
It is GOOD to see, isn't it?
She has her flaws, but she asked great questions and did so respectfully.
What a great sense of humor OUR President has! What a GOOD man he is!
ohhh, DrDeb, have a great time on the 11th! If you get a chance to meet W give him a giant hug from all of us....hmmm, secret service may not appreciate hugging...lol. Just tell him we love him!
I, too, thought the Oprah interview went very well. W seemed to have a good rapport with Oprah. She was very respectful. Also seemed that she liked President Bush and enjoyed his sense of humor.
It is SO GREAT to see him again! Each interview reinforces why I respect, admire and love this good man. I end up teary eyed after each of the interviews.
Just watched the clip on her site where she asks him about being a racist. I heard him address that yesterday with Sean and with Rush as well---but really loved his response to Oprah. She asks him if he can understand why the picture of him flying over NO would lend itself to people thinking he is racist and he is so firm in his answer of 'no.' I LOVE that.
The clip with his parents is so sweet. Your comments are very apt. :) I thought when watching him with Sean last night how much Jenna looks like him---nose and mouth I think.
You are welcome. :) I would love a book signing as well! Big sigh...
Amen, Geee. So nice indeed.
OUR President looks amazing--your comments are so true. It is so GOOD to see---and I am THRILLED that the world gets to see the man we 'know' and love. I don't see how anyone with at least a shred of an open mind can't be impressed.
What a delight.
Wonderful find! Thanks! He looks SO peaceful!
