The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
I’ll bet it will be a fun week!!
Yes, he is serene in the knowledge that he always tried to
do the right thing for this country that he loves so much.
....and WE are the better for it!
Oh, I LOVE that our dear President Bush and Vice President Cheyney know about the Dose(ers) and appreciate us.
I truly feel like I know our President and VP because of the Dose, and I can go up against anyone regarding their time in office and what they actually accomplished.
Thanks to all the Dose Posters who kept us informed.!!!
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
REMINDER:
MONDAY
Tonight at 8 PM ET on NBC, Matt Lauer will interview our dear President. The following is another videoclip from this interview — it will bring a tear to your eye (just as it did President Bush)!

oooohhhh, sorry for typo.....it’s President BUSH!
*THUD*
LOL!! That is a GREAT pic of our wonderful President!
Thanks so much for posting this. I’m still practically in tears after watching it three times straight. What a great man!
I think there are a lot of people who will gain a fresh impression of our dear President!!! Some of them will realize for the first time what we had and what we have lost.
DVR is set. Thanks for the reminders. Can’t wait to see all the interviews.
After watching the interview (missed some of it will watch again), I have to say that I still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE George W. Bush. What a man. So very thankful he served his country so well. We were so blessed.

I couldn’t agree more . . . I just love that man — I wish we could have him back!
[BTW: Didn’t you just love the way he closed the interview: “I gave it my all . . . I love America!”]
If you don’t get a chance to catch the interview again, I could ask hubby to ‘burn’ you a copy of ours. Just let me know.
I did!!! He is so at peace...and such a wise man.
I would LOVE a copy if your husband doesn't mind. :) He may just start asking "Do I need to burn one for your friend in GA?" :) If he can, that would be great--if not, that is fine. Thank you for offering.
Once again tonight I was so thankful that we got to enjoy and appreciate GWB for 8 years while so many of our countrymen are just now realizing what we had and have lost.
He was wonderful, as usual. Truthful and resolute and
1000% devoted and loyal to his duty, no matter the
consequences. A true born leader for us of dignity
and grace, and he plays it straight as it is. God
bless him forever.
Matt Lauer couldn’t dig and pick him apart enough..
hoping to catch him in anything to splay open some
awful hidden trait or embarrassment.
But W’s so totally at peace with his life and himself,
knowing he did what all the information at hand plus
his principles told him was the right thing to, it was
a futile mission.
You fulfilled your lamestream, cynical, partisan
lib role perfectly, Matt.
I have it TiVo’d and will go watch in a few minutes. I had a
feeling that Matt would be his usual smarmy self and try to
put OUR president on the defensive or make him look small...,
but all he would manage to do is make himself look small and
petty!
Love GW!!
I haven’t watched my DVR version yet either. I can’t wait to see it!
great post SW
very accurate IMHO.
I dont usually dislike Lauer but did want to bitch-slap him many MANY times.
Just watched the show. God bless George W Bush for his
honesty, bluntness, courage and resolute heart! His critics
can’t hurt him because he is at peace with himself...and by
extension, so can we be!
OUR president didn’t disappoint! He was as determined to be
honest tonight as he always has been...even when it is not
in his “best interest” to be so. I admire and love him so!
