The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

The President’s going to be busier than we initially thought:
BUSH TO SPEAK WITH LAUER, WINFREY, LENO, OTHERS

THANK YOU for the additional photos — particularly the wedding photos/video!!
Thanks for the links, Deb! Even a smarmy interviewer like
Lauer can’t deter OUR president from telling it like it is (and was)...
and doing a good job of it!
Heard that President Bush will be also be interviewed by Fox and Friends. Steve Doocy has been kind enough to respond to quite a few of my emails. Think I’ll ask Steve to let W know how many of us still love and admire him as evidenced by the FR thread ‘A Month in the Life of George W. Bush’.
Thanks for the tips and reminders, DrDeb. I’ve marked my calender.
“I’m a content man”. I love that. :)
I love GWB and the "Day in the Life" thread. I wonder if he has any idea that it exists. It should be in the GWB Library, searchable by date for all who visit.

Me too! :)
Steve Doocy is a sweetheart isn’t he?!
I’m glad President Bush is going to ‘visit’ Fox & Friends — between the three of them (GWB, Doocy and Kilmeade) it ought to be a riot!
Do you know when he’s scheduled?
I know that Tony Snow knew about the DOSE and am quite confident he informed the President . . . Tony GREATLY appreciated our efforts here!
He would be amazed that we “fuss” over what he said or might
have said or what people say about him. It’s just not part
of his persona to let other people spoil his peace within
himself.
We defend him....and really? He needs no defense. He did good!
Thanks for the memories Sweetie!
That is great news for us!!!! :D
Yes, Steve Doocy is a terrific person....I’m partial to Steve cause his easy going style and good sense of humor reminds me of dear late Dad.
I don’t know when GWB is scheduled on Fox & Friends....I believe it was Martha MacCallum who rattled off a list of Fox shows on which GWB would discuss his book....and Fox & Friends was one of them. I’ll email Steve on Monday morning and hope he’ll reply.....he generally does.
And sweet memories they are. ;)
Yes he does and so does Vice President Cheney.
When I met President Bush at the WH I said; I'm Just A Nobody from FreeRepublic.com and a poster of the "Day in the Life of President Bush" thread. He threw his head back and laughed saying; "You are, huh? YOU guys are crazy!"
Vice President Cheney chuckled when I told him he had quite a group of followers at FR and they called themselves the Cheney Chicks. He commented "yeah, I saw that" grinning the entire time.
As always, Deb...thanks for the valuable info and links you provide.
I still love my booklet and look at it often. Thanks again!
Happy Anniversary President and Mrs. Bush! We miss you more than you can possibly imagine.
He sure does!!! Very fit for a "senior citizen"!
The President looks so young and joyful — a beautiful soul will do that for a man!
This week is going to be soooooooooooo much fun!
