The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
If I recall correct they showed her on FOX News at the Memorial ceremony, but not in the video
Whoops, double post. Sorry!
I thought it would be appropriate to repost these older Dose threads on President Bush on the week of September 11, 2001. Some of you may have been around at that time and hopefully as you read these theyll bring back some memories. Its very interesting and sad to read the comments some past Dosers wrote as the aftermath of the terrorist attacks unfolded. I wish I knew about the Dose in those days, otherwise I surely would have joined.

Thank you very much!!
Thanks for the post, pattyvita. I completely missed this. I watched his presentation at the Pentagon and his speech in Pennsylvania yesterday, but missed this one.
Thank you for this historical record! It’s going to take time to go through them, and probably some tears.
Also--better a double post than not at all! Good effort in finding photos of GWB/Laura without the Os in them. Thanks so much for all your work.
Thank you for all your updates and photos. God bless him.
All his commemorative comments have been moving and wonderful.

Witness: With President Bush after the planes hit on Sept 11

Anger at the idiotic reporter’s (Arshad Mohammed) snarkiness moved me to do so under the initial J., a lengthy supportive post, twice. I didn’t know you couldn’t include links, so I reposted it again without the links. You’ll see the first post with the purple exclamation point icon and ‘J.’ a little ways down, but you have to click ‘more’ to read it. Got a few thumbs ups.

Always a comfort to See Dubya and Laura out in front....I miss their leadership greatly....and Laura’s beautiful presentation of herself as our First Lady.
Deep heartache for us all. Who couldn't weep today? God bless and protect President and Laura Bush, a finer First Couple just doesn't exist.
You can tell that they really CARE....not like the fake president and his wife. They just looked bored.
God bless GW and Laura!
Oh yes .. supremely and arrogantly ..
Happy tear here

Thanks so much for posting these links to the Dose threads from 9/11.
I’m trying to get through them.......
(((((God Bless)))))
Yes, Barry...look up and see a REAL man of integrity, decency, class, HUMILITY, and a true Patriot!!! Look UP to him.
You’re all very welcome. What a day that was yesterday. It was lovely to see all the praises and tributes for President Bush. Just to see him there at the 9/11 memorial makes the current WH occupier look more pathetically weak and small.
As for the Dose threads, I found them as I was doing my research a few weeks ago. After I finished reading all of them, I was thinking, wow that was such a very difficult and sad time. This was before Facebook and Twitter came along so basically you had forums like FR where people poured their emotions in real time during the week of Sept 11th. That is why I wanted to post them here in this thread so they would serve as a historical reference and to never forget what happened on that fateful day.
President Bush saved the day for me at the ceremonies this weekend. His calm presence was soothing and we remembered that he was like that when it really counted 10 years ago.
I can’t imagine anyone else in charge during those dark days.
I haven’t gotten up the courage to read all those threads. I know I am going to cry all over again. But I will...and I thank you for researching them for us!
I totally agree! Can't even stand to look at obama...
