The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
I ran across this video and thought it contained some rather charming moments between OUR president and first lady.
Hope you enjoy! I needed something to distract me from the SOTU last night and this did the trick.

An antidote to the SOTU disease last night.
I remember watching this event in real time — I can’t believe it happened almost 6 years ago! [The President and Laura have such an authentically loving relationship — unlike the contrived relationship between Obama and MEchelle!]
THANKS for posting the photos from the CSPAN interview — can’t wait to watch it on Sunday!!
Totally agree. I miss them in the White House so very much. I can’t stand to see the pretender and his wife occupying that special place that was so wonderfully represented our first couple.
To get that anti-American stench out of our White House, that is....
DrDeb, thank you for the alert re Sunday’s CSpan broadcast.....it will be wonderful to watch, as you say, a real President in action.
Thank you once again for the pictures of a happy and contented man! God bless him...and you! :)
You’re certainly welcome! Glad to help!
What a fabulous picture!!! I sure do miss our president.
They are great--so very clear and sharp---and of course the subject is amazing! :)
AMEN!
I picked the one I liked best, but I really like that Roy Rogers look he gets once in a while in one of them. Can you see it?? :)
Those pictures bring to mind something I mentioned to my hubby, SirKit, last night. It is a RARE thing to see any REAL expression of feeling on Obama’s face. He always look dis-interested. Maybe that’s his idea of being sophisticated, but it looks like he flat doesn’t CARE about this country in any form or fashion, except in the way it will benefit him, or his agenda.
Love the photos: “Miss me yet?” — you betcha’!!
Cute and clever! Thanks for posting them!
