Grim outlook for US Democrats two months from vote

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Just two months before November elections, President Barack Obama's Democratic allies insist they will defy predictions of a Republican romp that could cripple the White House's still-ambitious agenda.

"Reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated," House Democratic Caucus Chairman John Larson told reporters on a conference call Thursday, scoffing at a growing chorus of warnings the party could lose the US Congress.

"Let me be very clear about it: We are going to hold the House of Representatives and we are going to hold the United States Senate and we're going to do it each district one at a time," said Larson.

But opinion polls show deep US public anger at the sour economy and stubbornly high unemployment 20 months after Obama took office vowing to turn things around, and political forecasters warn Democrats will pay a stiff price.

With all 435 House seats and 37 of 100 Senate spots up for grabs, as well as state legislatures and key governorships, what's at stake is nothing less than the future of Obama's agenda.

Experts note that, historically, sitting US presidents have seen their party lose seats in legislative elections during their first term.

University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato predicts Republicans, who need 39 House seats to seize control of the chamber, could grab as many as 47, and fall just short of the 10 they need to run the Senate.

Sabato notes that Democrats have a considerable fundraising edge and veteran candidates and that "something big and unexpected can always drop from the skies" to shift the political battle in the party's favor.

This isn’t about the Republican Party.

So, what's it about? Who is running against the Democrats? The "Unicorns and Pixies" party?

If the Republican Party continues to run RINOs and plays the quisling, the Democrats might very well hold on to a lot of seats.

The democrats and their media are trying hard to paint this as just the bad economy as the reason the deomcrats are going to get their ass kicked. They never mention that people have been opposed to ObamaCare, the Arizona border fight, and the mosque in NYC, among other things. In other words, the voters are not kicking the democrats out because of what they have done—it is just they were in the wrong place at the wrong time with the economy. That's their story and they are sticking to it.

nothing like a Recovery Summer gone to rot.

stinks up the place real bad...

---------------------------------

This is all by design. The design of an administration that is firmly ensconced in the socialist doctrine of Marx, Lenin, Stalin and Alinsky. Any hand wringing by the regime is just window dressing. The goal is state ownership of everything and everybody.

Big government types like big government. They hate the private sector and the free market. But most of all they despise this country. Remember former auto czar, Bloom: 'The free market is a joke.'

Obama never intended to 'deliver.' Obama intended to redistribute wealth. Its Obama's 'real' agenda. Look at the huge bills, health care, the financial bill and the stimulus package. All are filled with mandates and quotas to support special interest groups. Take a look at where our tax money is going. It’s going to specific groups and agencies where there is no return, not one dollar coming back. None of it is to help small business. That's why there are trillions of dollars sitting on the sidelines. People won't invest, won't hire and won't spend because you don't know what this moron will do next. The whole financial meltdown was caused by a form of reparations, giving homes to people who couldn't afford them.

And so, we're in deep, deep economic trouble. And these liberals are going to friggin' sing and dance along, all the way, as they dance off a cliff.

WAKE UP AMERICA!

No, the Republican Party isn't being put into power because everyone loves it, they are being put into power because the Democrat Party has to be defeated.

So, the Republican Party can't screw it up, since they aren't responsible for the Democrats being ousted, the American People are.

People need to ignore the polls and work to support voter turn out. Anyone with a brain knows 2010 is shaping up as a favorable opportunity for Republicans. But that's all it is—nothing is in the bag.

With this many favorable articles cropping up two months before the election, the natural ebb-and-flow of media coverage will demand a Democrats-rebound cycle at some point. Ignore that, too, and work to get out the vote.

If the numbers continue to look bad for the Democrats just before the election, look for a total wipe-out. Why?

Because the "Independents" and "Undecideds" will go with the perceived "Winner."

Independents and Undecideds really have no convictions, other than "being in the majority" and "being liked." They will vote for whomever that think will win - be it Democrat or Republican, Conservative or Liberal.

This is why the Media continues to manipulate their Polls. To persuade the "Mushy Middle" to go with the Democrats/Liberals - pretending that they have the support of the majority of the people.

This is the same way with Hollywood. Many Hollywood actors support Liberal causes simple because that will increase their popularity.

“”Let me be very clear about it” said Larson

Obama loaning out his teleprompter? It’s sour-sounding and hackneyed no matter who spouts it.”

I couldn’t agree more. It has been an over used phrase by Democrats for several years. John Kerry practically wore it out.

So anybody have a pool setup for when Obama declares war...on someone, anyone?

The only way for the democratic party to have any hope for success is to get the people looking at something else so they can do some shenanigans and vote buying.

I bet Obama will send a strike against Iran, which will be for show purposes only and without teeth.

What Democrats don't seem to grasp is on Aug 5th, for the 1st time, a majority of Americans started blaming Obama and the Democrats for the current state of the economy according to the polls. Up until Aug 5th, 2010 the majority of poll respondents said the economy was all Bush's fault.

The number of voters blaming Democrats for the current state of the economy is only going to grow

If the bitchers choir of Democrat propaganda bots in the "Conservative" party continues to spend all their time whining that the GOP isn't perfect instead of getting off their asses this one time and help defeat the Progressive political machine, the Dems probably will hold the Congress.
