Democrats gun for GOP member who is friendly with Obama
The Hill ^ | 9/4/10 | Sean Miller

NEW ORLEANS – Rep. Anh “Joseph” Cao (R-La.) has a friendly relationship with President Obama, but that won’t stop Democrats from trying to oust him in November.

Cedric Richmond, Cao’s Democratic challenger, said he plans to focus on the Cao-Obama relationship this fall. But Richmond has a different take on their bond than the freshman Republican.

Occupying one of the most Democratic districts in the country, Cao frequently expresses his “love” for Obama.

Earlier this year, the president invited Cao to watch the Super Bowl at the White House, though Cao could not make it because of a snowstorm. Cao says he has visited the Obama White House 10 times.

Maybe Mr. Cao will learn that sucking up to a marxist will never be of benefit.

Cao has been in the black democrats’ sights since they were surprised by his victory. They view that congressional seat not just as a Democrat seat, but as a *black* Democrat seat. Cao can suck up to Obama 24/7; it won’t save him on election day.

Isn’t this guy Cao the scumbag who was the only “Republican” to vote for Mengelecare?

The old saw about feeding the alligator hoping you’ll be the last to get eaten comes to mind.

Except Mr Cao got too damn close to the gator right off. Too bad. So sad.

Never mix business with pleasure.
In Cao’s case, love with politics...

The blacks hate the Vietnamese there. Like most poor immigrants, the Vietnamese arrived with no knowledge of English and little knowledge of modern culture, yet within a generation they were running businesses and becoming doctors. This is unlike blacks, who have been here for hundreds of years and received fantastic amounts in government subsidies and supplements but still are not becoming doctors or running businesses. Yet they blame everybody but themselves and simmer in a toxic stew of jealousy and resentment.

Still, Cao was an idiot to hope he could try to suck up to blacks by proclaiming his love for Obama. He’s lost GOP support as a result, but hasn’t gained black support - and he never will.

Cao has the old “Wiliiam Jefferson seat” and it’s the flukest of flukes that a Republican won it at all

And it ia a pretty typical vietnamese suckup, never wanting to offend anyone.

It’s important to point out the transition for subjugation to entitlement is a relatively recent occurrence.

There are also numerous, outstanding examples of Blacks in art, music, business, sports, medicine, military, and Founding.

The most disturbing aspect of your post is the taboo nature of your opinion and the relevant facts that support it.

Doesn’t matter - him winning this was a fluke and a one time deal for a Republican...no way this seat will be held in November.

I would rather have a RAT in that seat than a RINO. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

I guess men like Frederick Douglass, George Washington Carver, and Booker T Washington were just white guys in blackface?

You're letting a small subset of the black population skew your logic.

That depends. If we can get the majority without him, yea, then it's ok but what if we fall one seat short of a majority? Then I'd happily take Cao. If I were in the district, I would vote Cao.
