Last night, Glenn Beck had a textbook Glenn Beck-style address in which he hyperbolically dug into both progressive universities and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius within the same 30 seconds.Target 1: Universities.There was a time not too long ago in this country that we used to walk through walls of fire to make sure we weren’t funding Hamas or Hezbollah. I have news for you: there are a lot of universities that are just as dangerous with indoctrination of our children as these terror groups are in Iran or North Korea.

Well, gosh, at least Beck is not attacking Birthers this time...
However, Beck is really going to get more dissing for this comment. He must have really thick skin. He seems to be injected with some passion serum that is driving him and keeping him going. I don't always agree with him, but I respect his passion, his drive, and his objective. I just hope he does not burn out too quickly.

What did you miss by the “progressive universities” description? To insinuate that Liberty is a progressive university would be akin to insinuate that Obama is a right wing extremist.

Not just Universities goes all the way down from K-12 as well.
Do you think Liberty University is churning out young communists or teaching students the wonders of Marxism and social justice?
We must bring back the trades...glamorize them because we see what academia is doing. I want my kids to replace the illegal alien workforce. Glen is right.

I actually think the threat to the US is worse now than during the Cold War.
The Marxists/liberals have taken over all our institutions—the federal and state bureaucracies and the K-12 and higher education systems.
The US is in the middle of an idealogical Cold War.
And, I hate to say it, but we are on the losing side, because unless conservatives become bureaucrats, lawyers and teachers/professors and go into public service and reform the institutions from the inside and challenge the traitorous liberals on policy, there is no way of winning.

This is what David Horowitz and other have been saying for quite a while and now Beck is giving it a wider audience. My belief is the university is the lair where liberalism or leftist thought flourishes and breeds. It has to be fumigated of the indoctrination courses and radical professors. They are bedbugs killing America with the slow death of a thousand bites and now that process has been sped up because one of the important bedbugs is in the Lincoln bedroom. Usually reality and religion is an antidote for students but those days are over. We need stronger medicine to ward off becoming a bug as in Kafka’s Metamorphosis. A lot of kids don’t know what is happening to them once they become university students and it just seems like a continuation of their education. But the university is the source from which the left breeds it’s activist journalists, professors, teachers, judges and tomorrow’s leaders.
I’ve used a bug metaphor and I’d like to use another that I think is equally appropriate. The university is the mountain where the Pied Piper Obama will hide all the children followers. He has charmed the youth to follow him and hide them right under their parents noses. The university has to go back to it’s original mandate and principles. There is no other way.
That’s a pretty lame comment. His kids are in collage too.
He gave specific examples. He certainly did not say every Prof in every classroom.
Surely you can come up with better examples than this to bash beck.
I work at an “institution of higher learning” and today was chatting with one of the professors about the coming 40% increase in our health care premiums. Oh, that’s the insurance companies fault and some government, but both are evil, mainly the businesses.
Really I said, it’s the insurance companies fault? Gee I have yet to have a 40% increase in my premium until obamacare was passed and he and the congress said our rates would go down, how could that be?
He replies oh, it’s just too complex to understand, it’s not obamacare’s passage that caused it. You are just see things in simple terms.
I replied, I see, so using your it’s too complex argument I could rationalize about anything, murder, rape robbery, as long as I make you believe there was a complex series of reasons behind it to explain the actions?
No-no, you just don’t understand, its far too complex... Then he starts bitching and moaning about not having a pay raise in 4 yrs. and hoping the premiums don’t go up that much.
As he walks away, I asked him, so, hows that hope and change working out for you? Red faced and angry he walks off. And he is teaching history to our young people...
