Hawking said: Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. So, why is there a law such as gravity? Mr Hawking is a smart man (although not a wise one) and he has succeeded in pushing back the boundaries of "starting points" more than most. But he has not explained everything. There is always a "why".

Someday he will meet his maker and answer for his arrogance.

Make that... the architect, homeowner, financier, owner of the construction company, trainer of the worker, builder of the raw materials, etc.
Yeah, unless he came on the job site and pounded those nails personally- HE wasn't needed.

"Spontaneous creation"?
Yawn.
Where did the forces come from that enabled this "spontaneous creation"? Gravity created itself?
Does this kind of intellectual laziness pass for "science" these days?

One day science will have answered all the questions in the universe except one.
And then they will refuse to answer that one remaining question because it will prove beyond doubt that God exists.
And God will laugh.

Hey, ALL paths lead to God...
yes, they certainly do.
All but one path leads to God as JUDGE,
and that one narrow path leads to God as Savior.

Hey Stephen,
Romans 1 will help explain your thinking...
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools
