According to Nielsen, 29 million people watched President Obama's address about Iraq last night. The address went from 8 PM ET to approximately 8:20 PM, and aired on 11 networks, including all four major broadcast channels and all of the cable news channels, as well as Univision and Telemundo.

Viewership was down 9% compared to his last address in June about the Gulf oil spill, and down 28% from his December 2009 address on his strategy for Afghanistan.

I would voluntarily have prostrate surgery through my nasal passages before I would watch Obama address the nation.

My wife asked if I was going to listen to the speech. I told her I would rather listen to a fat man fart.

I really think that they are overestimating the number of people who watched that press conference.

But then so what else is new?

My TV watched it. The station was on Fox with the sound off, and then his speech started, but I was too busy to get up and change the channel. I guess that got counted with the 29 million.

29 million when the airwaves were monopolized? That sounds like about one adult in maybe eight?

Why did they bother? I wonder if Obama's regime would be excited about getting 29 million votes in 2012.

I can’t watch him even in a news clip. Channel change or muting is immediate.

I wouldn’t know if anyone I know watched it because I sure as heck wouldn’t ask and since over 90% didn’t watch it chances are I don’t know anyone who did.

At least 29 million morons are still in the boat!

And most of them are drilling holes in the bottom of the boat, insisting it will let the water out.
