Princess Diana was captivating, over-emotional and a "manipulator," former British Prime Minister Tony Blair says in his new memoir.
"I really liked her and, of course, was as big a sucker for a beautiful princess as the next man: but I was wary too," Blair wrote, saying he was on guard against her "wildness of emotions," referring to her as an "unpredictable meteor."
In Blair's "A Journey," he discusses his meeting with Diana a month before her tragic death in a 1997 car crash to tell the Princess of Wales that her relationship with millionaire Egyptian playboy Dodi Fayed was a "problem."

this is news?
this was painfully obvous.
she wanted to be queen, she did what she had to.
Duh, Princess, Hello......Didn’t this guy see Space Balls?
This will do great things for Tony’s popularity. I’m sure it’s on the front page of all the British tabloids.
Before now I thought humor knew no gender preference. But I could have been wrong. Hold on, just got a text from my ex-wife. I was wrong!

He said “Space Balls”. Heh heh.
you cannot talk about someone because they are dead? I dont think what he said was all that bad.
***********
I think it is an attempt to set forth some objective record to balance the celebrity/saint/martyr construct.
Anyway, if I was a legitimate Stuart descendant I would be looking for a legitimate and eligible Bourbon descendant of the opposite sex and of childbearing years.
You never know.
Di would be with us today if only Dodi had thought twice before hiring a chauffeur named Toonces.
Beautiful princess?
As someone once said, “Put a blue smock on her and she looks like any clerk at K-Mart.”
Funny, I never found Di to be remotely attractive. If I passed her on the street, I wouldn’t take a second look. You could slap a wig on her eldest son and he’d look just like her.
i wonder if Blair is still covered under The Official Secrets Act
Many ugly women are manipulators too, they just don’t get the opportunities that good looking women get.
Had she lived, she would have been just another rich woman.
Diana was beautiful? Dodi was a problem? The Queen was haughty?
Wow, that’s a lot of distortion even for Tony Blair. I’ll buy the book that admits that Di was a rather homely and insecure (with much reason) woman; Dodi was a good guy (and as good guys will, he fell for a troubled chick); and the Queen is the Queen.
Is anyone surprised that a girl (woman) who sold herself for a title as “princess” wouldn’t be devious, and two faced as a result?
Yes but we men know we are being manipulated and go along as long as we get what we want.
Diana had everything money could buy including the adoration of millions and that was not enough for her.
“You insult Sarah and the rest of our beautiful republican women.”
Nah, as a general rule women know they are beautiful and use it to their advantage, some more than than others of course. I think Palin is very attractive and fit and she used the shots in the Runner’s Magazine to her benefit - she looked beautiful and toned. If I had her body and face I would have done it too. Plus it drives the liberals crazy.....
What business is it of Tony Blair’s if Diana wanted to have a relationship with Dodi Fayed?
