Why Obama Won't Embrace the Declaration of Independence
Weekly Standard ^ | 8/31/10 | Jeffrey H. Anderson

A few miles up the road from Ground Zero, the Obama administration recently submitted its account of the United States human rights record to the United Nations Human Rights Council. The administration’s report, the first ever submitted by this nation to that body (whose members include Libya and Cuba), was succinctly summarized by identical Washington Post and CBS News headlines: “US admits human rights shortcomings in UN report.” It’s certainly telling that the Obama administration chose to issue condemnations of America’s sins — alleged or otherwise, past or present — and to submit these to the UN.

Come on, somebody should have noticed by now that he doesn’t embrace America. He swore that he would greatly change the greatest nation in the world and he meant it. I only wish we had an education system that teaches American values rather than Union Propaganda. We would not have the regime problem we have today.

The left call themselves LIBERAL not because they desire freedom FROM government but because they honestly believe that of FDR Four Freedoms, namely Freedom from want, is the primary duty of the government.

They are oblivious that granting government power to give everyone ,Freedom from Want, they are also restricting the an individuals right to the pursuit of happiness.

The United States, home to the world's longest-surviving constitutional republic now meekly bows its head and admits its human rights "shortcomings" to an assembly of tyrants led by Cuba and Libya, two of the least-free countries in the world, and asks for their understanding.

What the hell is wrong with us?

What the hell is wrong with us?

As a nation, we are "stuck on stupid", and we voted the enemy into office. We may be able to survive 0, but can we survive those who elected him?

Even when it seems like it would have been hard to avoid referencing the Declaration, the report skirts it, often preferring non-American references. Immediately under the heading of the United States’s own “commitment to freedom, equality, and dignity,” the report states, “Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights declares that ‘all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights’ and that they are ‘endowed with reason and conscience.’”

For those who are unfamiliar with it, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a document that offers statements about “rights and freedoms” like this one: “Everyone has the right to education…. Elementary education shall be compulsory.... It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace.”

King Hussein abolishes Declaration of Independence, imposes Declaration of Dependence on the UN.

Most people do not understand the UN power vested in Ghadaffi. Of all the 192? nations in the UN, his opinion speaks fo the support given to him by 83 african nations and the muslim nations through the mideast. This number pushed him up well over half to the nations of the muslim based UN!

Anyone truly worthy of the title of "President of the United States" would have publicly told the members of the so-called "Human Rights" Council that when they stopped censoring news, torturing dissidents, imprisoning political opponents, oppressing minorities and financing terrorism, they might be invited to discuss our own shortcomings.

And then privately: let them know that if they insist on pestering us again, we'll have to release the copious surveillance records of their married "diplomats" enjoying the company of some of New York's finest escort services.

Hussein will be reminded of this document in late 2012, for he gave the GOP presidential candidate a huge club with which to violently beat him and his thugs.
