Howard Dean pulled off the rare twin-trashing this morning, dumping on both Glenn Beck and the people who respond to his message. He began by calling Beck crazy, saying he has "a few things the matter with him up here, up in the head there." Later, he compounded the calumny, calling Beck a "racist" and a "hate-monger." So who were the hundreds of thousands of people who attended the rally and the millions more who watch and listen to Beck? Why, according to Dean, they're "lost souls."
New York Times columnist Charles Blow had set the vitriolic tone during the show's first hour, accusing Beck of "hiding behind a cross" and participating in a "rhetorical assassination" of Pres. Obama.

They completely miss the fact that this ploy to silence us no longer works, and it’s one thing to make that charge on a small group and get aways with it, but to leverage it against the majority of the tax paying, law abiding citizenry who’s taxed income pays for their sorry a$$es, is a BIG mistake. It’s called biting the hand that feeds them.
One million “lost souls” as compared to Al Sharpton’s 3,000 patriotic, hard-working Americans, I suppose. For every person at the Restore Honor rally, there were 150 back home who couldn’t afford it, had to work, couldn’t leave their families, had other committments, etc. Yet the #1 “civil rights leader” and a guy who was taken seriously as a presidential candidate could only whistle up 3,000 marchers? In a majority black city? Huh?!
This euphemistically titled ‘doctor’ has revealed something very significant: his commnets are obviously not directed at changing conservative or even moderate voters; these commnets are so leftist that they must be directed at liberals, in the hope that some can be prevented from deserting the sinking democrap commie sloop piloted by a kommie kenyan klown who cannot help himself but lie when speaking publicly. I guess we see that even liberals are tiring of this lying bastard boy’s feckless performance.
