In the wake of Glenn Beck's hugely successful Restoring Honor rally held in Washington, D.C. this weekend, the Huffington Post has published an offer of $100,000 to anyone with evidence that would destroy Beck's reputation and take him off the political/cultural battlefield.
An essay written by Beau Friedlander, the last editor-in-chief of Air America before it shut down this year, was posted in the Politics section of the Huffington Post today with the title, $100,000 For Glenn Beck's Sex Tape.
Friedlander says he will not use his own money for the hit, but that he will "broker" the deal.
It is time to pop the tea baggers' favorite balloon (so what if it will be replaced by another?), and with that in mind I hereby offer to negotiate a $100,000 payday to the person who will come forward with a sex tape or phone records or anything else that succeeds in removing Glenn Beck from the public eye forever. I am not offering the cash myself, but I will broker the deal and/or raise the money for what you bring to the table. (And it better be good.)
If you have the goods, or if you want to contribute to a slush fund to buy more takedowns (probably not tax deductible), please contact me at: glennbecksextape@gmail.com.
Friedlander couches his offer in the context of Andrew Breitbart's offer of $100,000 for the Journolist listserve messages, but this is more in line with pornographer Larry Flynt's blackmail campaign against Congressmen during Bill Clinton's impeachment, which followed a threat from Clinton conveyed by George Stephanopoulos to expose their sex lives.
Likewise, the Huffington Post has ties to the Obama White House, raising the question of whether the White House is behind this targeting of Beck.

OK, two can play at this game.
I’m sure FR can rais far more that $100K for tapes of the following:
Barney Frank with a minor....that wouldn’t be too hard at all.
How about Nancy Pelosi’s husband? We could probably dig up a tape of him cheating on his wife.
Hmmm. and the left’s media darlings...are they cocaine free?
I think a bounty of a $100K might turn up a tape with Chris Matthews or Rachel Maddow.
Maybe we’ve been playing too nice all along. The left can dish this out...maybe its time to see if they can take it?
Gee, what could possibly go wrong ;^)
See post 401.
Who is that guy on the left? Looks like Ron Reagan.

Glenn Beck is a complete fraud - not a man of God. His job (working for Murdoch) is to keep conservatives misdirected by leading the opposition to Obama. While he keeps everyone focused on attacking Obama he diverts attention from the real power play in Washington. It’s not the president. It’s the CFR. The president is just their puppet. The same guys that ran the Bush White house run it now. The politics is just a horse and pony show.
This left right false paradigm is a diversion. It’s all about the New World Order. Murdoch is a CFR member. He is part of the New World Order. It’s not a conspiracy theory - its a reality folks. You’ve been had if you think the Republican party is for you - you’ve been had the same way Democrats have been had if they think Obama is for them.
Wake up folks and smell the real Tea Leaves. The Tea Party movement has been hijacked by the resurgent Neocons. In case you forgot already they led us into this economic mess. Do remember TARP? The CFR runs America. Glenn Beck will never point that out to you. He is a fraud just ike Palin is. They will say nothing against them.
Any conservative that will not attack the CFR is a neocon phony. The CFR is for a one world government. This is not a conservative principle, this is not an American idea. It is certainly not constitutional or even lawful. It is seditious. Gingrich, Beck, Palin and the rest of the NeoCons are all phony’s. You can tell by the fact that they never even question the CFR. It’s just that simple.
Oooh, saw Beck’s show this afternoon. Haha, no wonder Huff wants trash. Beck was so very, very calm calling them on the carpet for not reporting the rally and the crowd truthfully.
Actually, there are two earlier signups. Reply 386 was also removed by the mods.

TROLL!!!
Is this your opus?
Look what he asks for:
“...anything else that succeeds in removing Glenn Beck from the public eye forever....” And, later, he says he’s ISO a “takedown.” *wink, wink*
Wonder why he didn’t flat-out solicit a “mechanic” to disable Beck’s “car.”
I am a go, DU?
I am a stop, VK.
Rather than be ignored over the weekend, these motivated folks should have camped outside the top 20 most in the tank media figures. Why does Couric get to enjoy her life if she’s going to be out there politically. She ought to be dodging protesters to get into her driveway. Adrianne Huffington ought to be tailed by conservative paparazzi 24/7. We are so lazy and soft. they are hard as steel and determined to win at any and all costs.
This person offering the payday ought to see a sh#tstorm of protest swirling around him. These people should start to think twice about dirty politics. There should be a price to pay.
Wasn’t this an x-files episode?
Beau Friedlander, what a scum bag.
If they go back far enough they’ll find intoxication.
It’s old news.
Won’t bother Glenn.
