PHOENIXAn ebullient John McCain celebrated his resounding GOP Senate primary win with Gov. Jan Brewer, Sen. Jon Kyl and the states Republican congressional delegation at a unity fundraiser Friday night.
Conspicuously absent: former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, whom McCain soundly defeated Tuesday following a bitter and acrimonious campaign.
Organizers said he received an invitation to the event, just as others losing candidates did, but Hayworth claims the opposite.
I never received an invitation nothing ever crossed my desk, the former six-term congressman told POLITICO Saturday.

He ran against a loud mouth, late night TV huckster buffoon
Yep, I noticed. She's still pushing McCain which tells me all I need to know.
He won't be going it alone, he has the Bobsie twins and Ms Lindsey to go with him to sink any and all chances of conservative causes being passed.
Sarah didn’t just “endorse” McCain, she campaigned for him, did robo calls for him, and did fund raisers for him. She made it very clear to the republicans in Arizona that she fully backed McCain because he was the most conservative person running.
Which is pretty much my opinion of McCain's biggest supporter.... Sarah Palin
I missed all your subsequent posts about that. What did they say?
Thank you so much for asking for an update on that! I was waiting on it myself and thought I might have missed the answer.
Seriously? Kyl's 96.75% ACU rating means that he's in the top 5 LIFETIME (top 4 if you include only those with more than one term under their belt) in terms of conservative ratings. Less than 2 points (96.75 to 98.67) separate the top 5. ALL are extremely conservative: Barrasso, DeMint, Coburn, Inhofe, and Kyl.
IMHO, JD's taken a page from Clint Didier's book, up here in Washington State. Big ego, crushing loss against another, and then pouting and stamping of feet and temper tantrum when the media attention goes away.
JD's shown he's more interested in JD than conservatism. Throwing temper tantrums and lying and acting like a spoiled brat is no way to get anyone to listen to you (same goes for Didier).
Suck up the loss, learn from it, support the best candidate in the race, work to make the party more conservative as you can, and go forward.
That would be on November 03, 2010
Well, no. Good hearted Arizona Republicans took her at her word when she vouched for McCain.
Not to mention a failed Congressional rep who barely earned a National Taxpayer's Union rating of 64% (actually BELOW Lamar! Alexander and Dick "the whip" Lugar).
By comparison, McCain consistently earns 90%+ ratings from the NTU. He's a real, proven fiscal conservative as opposed to Hayworth who simply talks the talk but didn't walk the walk.
A desire to serve defines McCain

Hayworth was a godawful candidate. He had been defeated for the House, and then did those cringeworthy infomercials for a fraudster. I wonder if Russell Pearce could have won.
That is an outright lie. JD had a 96% rating and McCain has an 81% rating (which is only 81% because he runs conservative in the re-election years)
JD is hated by the establishment because he was fighting against illegal immigration when the establishment (including Bush) was pushing amnesty.
**How long before McCain swings wildly left again?**
As soon as Congress gets back from their summer break, ... or ... He may have to continue IMPERSONATING a Conservative until after November.. when if Reelected.. his Leftward Lurch will begin with his (ugh)victory speech.
Hayworth really needs to wash the sand out of his crotch, put his big boy pants on and make nice with McCain. Not least because had this primary gone the other way, he would have every right to expect it of McCain. And every last person who’s cheering Hayworth here would be having a fit if McCain were doing the same thing after losing. And rightfully so.
| DEAKIN, JIM | 11.65% | 69,143 | |
| DEAKIN, JIM | 31.99% | 189,802 | |
| MCCAIN, JOHN | 56.13% | 333,043 | |
| Write-in | 0.23% | 1,385 | |
| TOTAL | 593,373 |
But, there is a silver lining. Sarah Palin was revealed as a RINO.
