Republican incumbent Jim DeMint remains far ahead of surprise Democratic nominee Alvin Greene in the U.S. Senate race in South Carolina.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds DeMint leading Green by a better than three-to-one margin, 63% to 19%. Eight percent (8%) prefer some other candidate, and 10% are undecided.

19% for Greene? 1 in 5 Carolinans also probably believe their dogs can talk.
To: speciallybland
19%? that’s a lot!
Reminds me of the 22% in the recent poll who supported the Mosque at GZ.
From that, I can safely say that 1/5 of Americans are just b@tshit crazy.

South Carolina Senate: DeMint (R) 63%, Greene (D) 19% South Carolina voted 58% Republican in 2004. And the population is 28% black.
Ergo, DeMint is getting all the Republicans -- plus a few Democrats. And Greene is only getting no more than 2/3 of the black vote.
One-third of the blacks and virtually all the white Democrats will be sitting this one out...

It goes to show what a great country this is when you can run a piece of meat with two eyes for the U.S. Senate and still gather 19% of the vote! Yahoo! I love this country! LOL!

I’m surprised, but pleased - I thought Greene would poll at about 30%. I should have had more faith in my fellow Palmetto Staters.

I don’t like going out on a limb, but I think DeMint has this thing in the bag.

I am moving my family back to Myrtle Beach just in time to support Senator DeMint this fall. We are looking forward to leaving Charlotte, NC after 24 years. This state is a liberal cesspool.
