The Obama administration has shelved the planned prosecution of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the alleged coordinator of the Oct. 2000 suicide attack on the USS Cole in Yemen, according to a court filing.
The decision at least temporarily scuttles what was supposed to be the signature trial of a major al-Qaeda figure under a reformed system of military commissions. And it comes practically on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the attack, which killed 17 sailors and wounded dozens when a boat packed with explosives ripped a hole in the side of the warship in the port of Aden.

I don't think even Karl Rove is bastard of that magnificence.
Yeah, it’s not that Obama is “out of touch” with the mainstream or “tone deaf”, he’s a hard-left liberal with communist tendancies who’d rather defend a guilty muslim than protect the country he governs.
**** you, Sheik Obama.
Ft. Sumter
“You know, I think he and Holder are just sticking their thumbs in our eye for as long as they can, as much as they can, before theyre thrown out.”
I tend to agree with this. I also believe that God is allowing the “shaking up” of this nation to bring people back to HIM.
FUBO!!!
triple FUBO!
I hope he chokes on his Marthas Vinyard lobster!
0bama is a traitor, and he squats to pee.
Which nation does "our" government represent?
Who they have turned in to the UN Human Rights Commission. More evidence 0bama is an enemy of this Nation.
That explains it.
The left would flee completely from Obama if his admin indicted this guy. They would say that his admissions were made "under torture" even though they have other evidence linking him to the crime.
When it says “administration” it means Obama. He is a dictator and no one makes decisions without consulting the great one.
It’s obvious where his heart lies, and it’s not with freedom-loving normal people.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this - but, I'll point out that the previous administration didn't "kick the can down the road" with respect to al-Nashin. They captured him in 2002, and for 6 years he was a valuable intelligence asset, that is after they water-boarded him. Before that, he wasn't very helpful at all.
In November or December of 2008, the Bush administration moved forward with al-Nashin's military commission - remember, this was primarily delayed due to all the legal challenges to the commissions which necessitated Congressional action. Two months later, in early Feb - just a week or two into Obama's REGIME - the government withdrew all charges.
This is the SECOND time Obama has stopped prosecution using the military commission for al-Nashin.
....there....fixed it.
Actually, that might give him the best of all possible worlds. Would Clinton have been reelected if the economy hadn't gotten so much better -- because of the Republican Congress from 1994? With a Republican Congress, Obama could count on at least stopping the downslide in the economy, and he'd still have the Republicans to blame. Who now remembers (outside of FR) that Clinton's economy was in the doldrums until the Republican takeover? Who noticed at the time? Not the MSM, for sure!
