An e-mail correspondent (Orthodox Christian) sent me the four pictures below, with this message:

This is an accurate picture of every Friday afternoon in several locations throughout New York City where there are mosques with a large number of Muslims that cannot fit into the mosque. They fill the surrounding streets, facing east for a couple of hours between about 2 & 4 pm.

Besides this one at 42nd St & Madison Ave, there is another, even larger group, at 94th St & 3rd Ave, etc. …

This is in New York City on Madison Avenue, not in France or the Middle East or Yemen or Kenya.

A Christian Nation cannot put up a Christmas scene of the baby Jesus in a public place, but the Muslims can stop normal traffic every Friday afternoon by worshiping in the streets...

OK... I just found this: UPDATE Aug 22nd: Folks, we issued a retraction AND an apology to Muslims for our incorrect information in a post immediately following THIS post, but since some do not go through our posts in order and simply go to the URL directly from a search engine, the correction would not be know. We discovered shortly after we posted this post that this is indeed a hoax and have stated as much in the separate post. The mass praying in the street was done by Muslims, but it was done on the day of their annual parade. It is NOT an event that occurs regularly, or every Friday. That is absolutely incorrect. I don’t know if they do, but as long as they don’t oppress me or anyone else , or block anyones freedoms I don’t care.
I don’t believe the god of Islam is the God of creation, I believe there is no other path to life except by the son, Jesus Christ, creator of all, That being said, I have no desire to oppress anyone who believes differently, I just know that Heaven will not be seen for those who do not accept Christ as Saviour and son of God. It looks more like the corner of East 41st and Madison -- and if they actually tried doing that for anything other than a cultural fair or parade when the street was closed down, they'd be squashed flatter n' a bunch of frisbees.

Check out Google maps streetview for East 41st Street and Madison, and you can see what I mean about the cabs.

If you rolled out a prayer rug there between 2 and 4 PM Friday or any other day of the week, you'd be risking death, dismemberment and probably both before the cops dragged you away in a strait jacket.
