OK... I just found this: UPDATE Aug 22nd: Folks, we issued a retraction AND an apology to Muslims for our incorrect information in a post immediately following THIS post, but since some do not go through our posts in order and simply go to the URL directly from a search engine, the correction would not be know. We discovered shortly after we posted this post that this is indeed a hoax and have stated as much in the separate post. The mass praying in the street was done by Muslims, but it was done on the day of their annual parade. It is NOT an event that occurs regularly, or every Friday. That is absolutely incorrect. Again, our apologies to the Muslim community for propagating this incorrect information, and we sincerely apologize that we did not verify this information prior to posting it. http://studygrowknowblog.com/2010/08/16/muslims-block-traffic-to-pray-in-new-york-city/

Too bad it’s an urban myth.
That street would be a great place to take your doggy to poop.

It looks more like the corner of East 41st and Madison -- and if they actually tried doing that for anything other than a cultural fair or parade when the street was closed down, they'd be squashed flatter n' a bunch of frisbees.
NYC cabbies take no prisoners, particularly the Mohammedan ones.

Then why in the heck don’t you have this thread closed?
Certainly quick enough for others
