“Kazin wrote enthusiastically of a new political force he felt would endure after the election...”

There is nothing “new” about thieving, soul-destroying Communism.

In an interview, Kazin said, "I was a bit optimistic in the glow of victory," adding that "the campaign had the aura of a movement, but in the light of day it was not a movement."

Oh, it was a movement, all right.

But now it's time for some Ex-Lax.

Remember that Bozo Carville’s book?

They really believed they’d rule the next 40 years.

It was not a movement. It was a political fad that was carefully orchestrated and managed.

The electoral equivalent of a Pet Rock.

The Dems still have to pay people to vote for them.

The only energy they had was drug-induced.

but in the light of day it was not a movement."

Basically it was a hate-fest against one man...George Bush.

The left unified in their hate-screeds and convined many conservatives to join as well. They were pumped up by their power in slandering one man and labelled it "hope and change".

Now that Bush has not said a word and removed himself from the public eye they have scattered.

This was pure evil on a massive scale.

It endured, all right.

Like the stench of a thousand dead rats in your attic.

Recently I was in a room full of liberals in Santa Monica.

The question of moral perfection was on the table.

The general consensus was that it was impossible, but it was worthwhile to try and be as good as possible.

When I mentioned that "being all you can be" might involve rather boring stuff like attending city council meetings and keeping tabs on our elected representatives, there was a collective sigh of dismay.

Liberals are going to be too busy keeping themselves in shape with Yoga and Pilates to be going around knocking door-to-door to see that Obama's buddies get re-elected.

No, it's just that the lies are unsustainable and the truth is catching up.

Everybody else is concerned about the lack of reality in the liberal movement.

Not sufficient energy to carry out the “program”? Well, whose fault is THAT?

For years, the progressive types have been trying to LIMIT access to energy by the “undeserving”, but obviously they did not think this through. By restricting the sources and distribution of energy, i.e., excessive taxation and regulation, now, there is not enough energy to go around. Constitutionally incapable of being able to usefully convert energy into value, the progressives find themselves, on two levels, with a lack of capacity to carry out their objectives.

First, by creating, intentionally or otherwise, the feeling of apathy and pessimism that pervades the nation today, nobody is motivated. Then, by having suppressed the free conversion of energy sources, and therefore the wealth it creates, revenues are down in both the governmental and in the business world, you see the inevitable result - there are no means by which to pay for all these extravagant and expensive new programs.

The other obvious solution to this dilemma, to CUT BACK on the expensive and extravagant (and mostly frivolous) programs, seems not to occur to the now failing obama regime of perpetual ignorance.

The universe is a cruel and unforgiving place. Stupidity, or its mirror image, willful ignorance, is the one crime from which there is no appeal.

I suggest liberals all stand in the wind blown sands of the Mojave and absorb the energy from the wind and the sun.....
