Local media speculates that Carter was used as a kind of decoy, by raising expectation that Chia Head would meet Carter in Pyongyang.
If true, this is a humiliation for Carter.

That's what I thought as well. Interesting city - home of the Terra Cotta Army and the beginning of the Silk Road.

If true, this is a humiliation for Carter. Carter revels in humiliation. He clearly thinks it makes him morally superior (which makes him not only a hypocrite in his 'faux humility,' but a pompously destructive hypocrite masquerading as a moral man).
I can't stand that shifty-eyed little prick.

Midnight local time on the 26th. More than 12 hours ago already.
Wasn’t there an article yesterday about NK moving 2 divisions of troops to surround Pyongyang?

This has all the hallmarks of a miltary coup, doesn’t it?

According to previous reports, NK regime is planning the largest military parade in its history in coming October. So massed troops could be for massive display of military hardwares and goose-stepping troops.
However, once troops are massed, they can be used for different purposes, too. Such as locking down Pyongyang and purge any possible obstacle to Kim Junior's succession in one massive sweep.

Odd place to take a train to, from NK.
It’s all the way down by Taiwan, inland from Fujian province.
