Thanks Connie.....I'm not sure how well I'll fare on spread sheets though. Managing my checkbook register is fairly simple......and correctable if I rely on the bank's statement. Last time I balanced it, I was only off by 47 cents. Now......where did that 47 cents go...I've no clue.

Scotch Bonnets (or Habaneros) aren't palatable. I use them as an insecticide and repellent.

NOT based on true events, mind you.

Good to know! lol

Your baby off to college?

I hope you won't be too traumatized Tann. That's gotta be a proud but difficult time I'd imagine.

Congrats to her!

You’ll do fine...spread sheets pretty simple as long as everything gets placed in the right column.

Awwwww.....time DOES have a way of getting away, doesn’t it! I am sure you will both be fine, but coming home will never be the same for her.

Hope in spite of admin problems that you have a great bunch of kids....after all, they are who it is all about in the long run. I’ll bet you are an awesome teacher.

Why.....you might have even gotten ME to like math. LOL!

Word and Excel are sorta self-taught here too. I'm old! The one computer class I took in Junior Collage had these, maybe 12x12 or bigger, boards that you plugged things into....like the switchboards of old. My brain had a very hard time with the concept.

This is a telephone switchboard, but the things we plugged in looked just like it.

U.S. Air Force Sgt. Suzann K. Harry, of Wildwood, N.J., operates a switchboard in the underground command post at Strategic Air Command headquarters, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., in 1967.

Very cool that you are enjoying yourself. Is your home computer behaving?

But of course! It's only the wording that confuses.

Is your home computer behaving?

Only when threatened by another diagnostic test performed by an IT proctologist. Otherwise it's been behaving normally.

I see that young Airman working happily on the new technology that was then. Outside the classroom I see young students busily typing away on I-pads, text phones and all sorts of miniature electronic devices while my classmates and I are carrying notebooks and a workbook.

None of the students have pen in their shirt pockets or clipped to their t-shirts.

Perish the thought of a power outage that could cripple education. But maybe that in itself would be an education.
