From now on ... everytime I start talking politics with anyone here in Arizona I will give a litmus test prior to the conversation... Who did you vote for in the Senate Primary race? If they say McCain then the conversation will be over (and hopefully I will not want to smack them over the head as I walk away).

No, then after he hops back over to the liberal side you can remind them of the wisdom they lacked in voting for Mccain.

Explain to me why Hayworth would have been better? Also explain to me how you ignore his record of pork-spending, corruption and flat-out lies? You think this guy actually represents an “outsider?” I was quite happy to see him lose.

This should be a lesson, if the Tea Party folks hadn’t clamored around this jackass, maybe a real conservative would have stood up to beat McCain who was ripe for the picking this year.

Yet we sent up someone even worse and more dishonest than McCain was.

To make it worse, a dim bulb like Quayle made it through the primary while better candidates in Parker and Gorman basically got shot down.

Arizona got screwed today, but they were going to be screwed eitherway in the Senate race.

People in Arizona DON’T LIKE JD Hayworth. You can’t just put up some random joke of a candidate against McCain and then cry when he gets blown out. People remember Hayworth and his connections to lobbyists and corruption, his love of earmarks and pork-barrel spending, why the hell would conservatives dump McCain for a guy like that?

“Those AZ voters are so uninformed that most are just voting for the name that they have heard of.”

Sorry to say, that happens too often and in too many places! There are many folks here in Florida district 8 who knew NOTHING about the candidates running in the Primary. In fact, many did not know what district they were in!

So who is this Jim Deakin who was also in the senate race? His vote of nearly 12% wouldn’t have made the difference for Hayworth who had only 32% but could have been a protest vote against McCain by those who didn’t like either candidate.

And Brewer vs. Goddard for governor. I hope she stomps the s**t out of that illegal-loving POS. That family has long been a thorn in AZ’s side from when I was living there 30 years ago and Sam Goddard was always the liberal running for one thing or another.
