The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17
I think they’ve figured out a way to doctor the polls.
I don’t think the really angry voting crowd is in the mood to answer political polls or want to admit how strong they disapprove.
Since this doesn’t make any sense. He has an overall approval rating in the low forties in many polls. He had worse or the same numbers as these when he was at 52% approval. There is a logical disconnect somewhere.
His strongly approves never goes below 25.
Also factor in the fact that many people who are likely to highly disapprove of Obozo have caller ID and are likely overwhelmed by solicitation calls which they ignore, so they cannot chime in on the results.
That still doesn’t explain the fact that at 47% overall disapproval he had 42% strongly disapprove. Now when he is at 57% overall disapproval he still has 42% strongly disapprove.
There is something strange when is overall disapproval can grow 10 points and strongly disapproval doesn’t budge.
Just like -16 or -17 are slight blips, so would be -21 or -22.
-18 and -19 are the norm. This is just statistical noise.
We complain about a lack of passion from the middle on these threads all the time. Now you’re seeing mathematical proof of it.
Would be interesting to see a breakdown by race.
How can the overall approve/disapprove numbers go from -13 to -3 (where it stands today) in less than a week? Or from -8 to -3 in a day?
Scott is about the most accurate pollster around, but he can't poll people he can't contact.
It's a summer weekend, and the poll represents Thursday, Friday and Saturday numbers. If you have a life and a family, there's a good chance you'll be at the seashore, at the lake or in the mountains. Or at least outside in your pool. If you need to draw the blinds and barricade the door to participate in your preferred recreational activities, chances are pollsters will find you at home. Over the summer, look at the Thursday number (representing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday polling.) My guess is Zero is really around minus 22 or 23 right now.

The country can’t survive with a fourth of its members being fifth columnists.
Its the strongly's on both sides that are the ones come election day that have convictions and are going to votr those convictions. Its the somewhats, on either side that are more abt to stay home.
Its the somewhats on either side, that fluctuate the poll.
The strongly approves are his core, that if during a press conference if he had sex with a sheep on prime time tv (or The View) the strongly approves would still strongly approve.
The only way numbers are going to change now are by the somewhats.
Each month, more and more somewhats are getting fed up with this crap and become strongly disapproving.

I think thats about all we'll ever see. (until the Führer blocks all descent)

Your forgetting that this country voted for Obama. They also vote for lots of government services then complain about high taxes. They also vote “yes” on every bond issue that hits the voter booth, then cry about high property taxes.

We have a purposely un-educated class combined with a PC over educated (but quite worthless) bunch of college graduates. You could send the college grads out to spend a day looking for a left handed crescent wrench.
In a word the justification for Obamas still “high” poll numbers forgets that this is America we are talking about. Land of the retards (reference to Jennifer Annistan).

His approval is disturbingly high. Does not look like the mosque story really hurt him at all.
I don’t believe these polls. Yesterday I stopped at a table in one of our huge malls where there was a table where voters could sign up to register (as Republicans) to vote. During the five minutes I was standing there chatting with two women, three or four “young” voters walked up and signed up.
