Israel tells UN it will stop Gaza aid flotilla

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) – Israel informed the United Nations Friday that it reserves the right to use force to stop a new aid flotilla from reaching the blockaded Gaza Strip.

In a letter sent to UN chief Ban Ki-moon, Israel's UN Ambassador Gabriela Shalev said the stated intention of the Bolivian-flagged all-women cargo ship Mariam "is to violate the existing naval blockade of Gaza."

She added that Israel also had information that another vessel, the Naji al-Ali, plans to leave from a Lebanese port with the aim of violating the blockade.

"Israel reserves its right under international law to use all necessary means to prevent these ships from violating the aforementioned naval blockade," Shalev warned.

Good. I hope they do. They have shown incredible restraint so far in not blowing those ships out of the water.

Ban met U.S. President John F. Kennedy. When a journalist at the meeting asked Ban what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said, “I want to become a diplomat.”

I hope the Israeli ships are loaded to the gills with hot Israeli women all with their monthly cycle clocks synced to PMS time.

Just sink both boats in the middle of the night. Don’t bother boarding them. Just place a missile in each wheel house and incinerate it.

A ship named Mariam, eh?

I wonder if it's named after UK MP George Galloway's charity the Mariam Appeal. The charity was a front for his dealings with Iraq. Galloway was a recipient of Saddam Hussein's oil vouchers. He is also an inlaw of the late PLO terrorist leader Yassir Arafat and has ties to Cuba. He's since gone on to join this latest leftist lunacy with the boats.

Ah, I see. They say it’s named after the Virgin Mary but I bet they were really thinking Mariam Appeal.
