Several people have been asking around about who is goes to the 08/28. I'm going to be going with a few other Freepers, and I thought I'd start a thread so that we can talk about going and trying to meet up if anyone wants to. If someone else has already organized a little group, we can maybe get together. If anyone has any details, or if we can make this happen, let me know. I've only been to D.C. twice, so I'm probably not the best organizer, but maybe we can get this ball rolling. Thanks!

I want to go so much... but I live in Oregon... and money is tight. We are lucky my husband has a job. They say real unemployment here is over 20%.
Taking time off and spending 3000 dollars on airfare and hotels... Oh how I wish I could go!

I’m sorry that you can’t make it. We’ll be sure to make some noise for you. We lucked out, tickets and hotel for 3 days was only $1050 total (For all three of us!). I dunno if there are any good deals left to be had for those who are last minuters, but I’ll pray that doors will open for those who want to come, and for whom it would really do some good.
I missed out on the 09/12 last year because I had no funds, and I was so dissapoiinted. This year, I had some great blessings open up, and my friends and I got 3 of the last 5 tickets on our flight. Talk about serendipity.
You’ll be with us there in spirit, and we’ll try and make sure to post lots of pictures!
Not going to Glenn’s event but will be at SCOTUS at 3 PM to pray with other “individuals” if you would care to join us. No speakers, no stage, just people praying for our country.
We will take the New Carrollton station. You can freepmail me for my phone number or agree on a place to meet because at 9/12 it was tough getting cell service once in DC due to the large crowd.
For those who didn’t know, there is a rally on 08/29 from 10:00A to 12:00P, at the Senate park, for those who don’t have the money to come back 2 weeks later for the 9/12.

I read on another thread that you’ll be at the rally. I started a thread for those who will be interested in meeting up, and getting to know other Freepers, and show some solidarity. Let someone know, we still have a week or more to hammer things out.
