The developers of the Ground Zero mosque are refusing to flat out reject cash for the project from Holocaust-denying Iranian nuke nut Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
“I can’t comment on that” was the reply of mosque spokesman Oz Sultan yesterday when asked specifically if the fund-raising would extend to Iran and Saudi Arabia. "We'll look at all available options within the United States to start."
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the leader of the project known as Park51, has said at meetings with downtown officials that he would raise money for the 13-story mosque from local Muslims, foundations and the sale of bonds.
But in an interview with a London-based Arab newspaper earlier this year, he admitted his fund-raising would also extend to Muslim nations around the world.

Perhaps they should accept money from Muslim nations around the world to rebuild the twin towers. Then, after the towers have been restored, look around for a place to build a mosque.
Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said the trip to Bahrain, Qatar and Abu Dhabi will cost taxpayers $16,000. He said that Rauf isn't going to use the time in the Mideast to raise funds for his mosque.
So, the mosque developer, an Imam, is apparently on the payroll at the State Department. {I'm assuming he isn't just donating his time.} And exactly what is his supposed mission to the ME?

The problem with that is we’d see people screaming and hollering about Muslim money rebuilding the towers.
It’s a “goodwill trip” to the “Muslim world.” This is the third such trip he has made (and we have funded).

How fast would FDNY respond to a fire at the mosque?
They would arrive quickly so they could set up a rotating spit. A fair size hog takes about 16 hours to cook.
If its backed by Iran I would say the building will be nothing but a disguised weapon of mas destruction.
They will over time and covertly manage to build within the walls some form of weapon from either biological or inert two part binary explosives that cannot be detected or heavily shielded nuclear material in either a primitive dirty bomb or a devastating fission device.
Americans, its your call, someone has to do it and stand out from the rest and start the initiative to shut this project down...permanently.
If folks want to get the goods on the mosque money, I think some attention needs to be paid to the Port Authority, especially the PA people involved in killing the deal to rebuild St. Nicholas.
Maybe we can sieze the thing if Iranian money is involved.
But others might see Muslim money to rebuild the towers as restitution.
