The fundraiser he attended raised $1 million for Dem congressional candidates.
Traffic on the west side of Los Angeles is expected to be snarled on Tuesday morning as President Obama's motorcade returns to LAX.
Obama's heading to Seattle after attending a fundraiser in Hancock Park Monday night. He reminded donors about his successes in the midst of criticism from both ends of the political spectrum.
Drivers abandoned their cars, yelled at police officers and fumed as traffic came to a halt for the presidential visit Monday night. Some streets in Hancock Park were even closed to pedestrians.
One man went for a run just as the area was locked down and found himself waiting 25 minutes at a yellow police tape barrier to get back home.
The fundraiser was expected to raise $1 million for Democratic congressional candidates.

LOL. I wish someone would have posted a live thread. I would have listened online! LOL.
I did notice that Sepulveda northbound was at a complete standstill. I think it was around noon or so, I knew his majesty was on the move.
A lousy 1 mill after he burned people and their children for TRILLIONS and has the balls to stop traffic! One more reason to get rid of this P O S Misery.Words don’t describe this P O GARBAGE.
The one I am interested in:
The plot thickens on Jerry Browns pension
From the OC County Register.
I think they save snippets...see this link then choose:
No one can figure out his pension payout,....seems very excessive.
I remember this kind of mess when Clinton, after his election and following visit to SOCAL and then Santa Barbara caused a similar sort of gridlock on the freeways of CA making for long sit time..these people are so stuck up and stuck on themselves and so self centered they think of NO one but their own sorry selfs.
I tried reading that link about Brown’s salary, but I did not pick up what the problem was. Can you break it down for me in a sentence? Thanks
I heard from an Obama voter who was ranting about the traffic yesterday, he works on Olympic Blvd, and he told me, “Obama spent $20 million to come to town to raise $1 million.”
I think he’s seeing the light. Maybe.
See the link at #9.

Updated with comment from Browns spokesman
As Jerry Brown grabbed the spotlight with his criticism of Bell city officials and their outrageous pensions, The Watchdog got to wondering: How much will the Democrat for Governor make in retirement?
That, as it turns out, is a very difficult question to answer. After more than a month of investigation, the Watchdog can only say for certain that Brown and a handful of other top officials are eligible for generous benefits under a special pension fund so obscure that few people in government know how it works and many thought it had been eliminated 20 years ago by outraged voters.
Under the law, Brown should have accrued, at most, 16 years of service credit in this special fund, known as the Legislators Retirement System, or LRS. Actuarial statements produced by LRS, however, indicate that an unnamed person of Browns age and earning Browns exact salary has been credited with 25 to 29 years of service. The difference would mean tens of thousands of dollars in additional pension payments for Brown each year.
Browns campaign staff acknowledge the unnamed person sure looks like the gubernatorial candidate but have been unable to explain the discrepancy over service.
Officials at the California Public Employees Retirement System, which manages LRS, have similarly refused to cooperate, saying the law forbids them from answering questions about specific individuals.
This is laughable.
These sheep whine/get pissed-off about sitting in traffic for their government, but say little about how long they sit at work for their government.
Hey,...this is the Left Coast,...you expect rational thought....?
There had to be a better way to move him where he needed to go- helicopter or better timing- something. I think it is a matter of no consideration whatsoever for others- especially the “little people” that he claims to care about so much.
When Reagan was President a good friend of mine lived on a street in Phoenix that the motorcade had to go down to get to Nancy’s mothers home. When I visited my friend we would be night owls watching movies and talking to the wee hours. Several times I happened to be there when President Reagan’s motorcade came by late, or wee hours, no traffic.
Not only is it inconsiderate to tie up traffic but isn’t it safer for the President to travel during really off hours or when that is not possible to use a helicopter? I would think for that reason if no other he should plan trips with as little hassle as possible for everyone.
Obama either has the dumbest staff in history or he ignores their advice and does as he pleases without regard to a better way of doing things. I have just been truly amazed by the way many things are done by this President.
