What do they use as their tagline now? Do they still style themselves “the most trusted name in news?” Or have they updated it to something like “Where the world gets their news when they’re not getting it from Al Jazeera.”

CNN reflects the cultural values of its founder....Ted Turner. It defines “straight down the middle” as HE defined it, which is well to the left of the vast majority of the population of the USA.

Anyone notice that CNN is the channel of choice for TVs in doctors’ offices, waiting rooms, and the like? It’s never The Fox News Channel which apparently is deemed as too partisan.

CNN is dying by not differentiating

Can I be honest?

You'd have to be drooling in a cup or dead to watch television news regardless of channel.

We stopped watching that state run bullsh*t years ago.

As far as I'm concerned, Fox is the station that "plays it right down the middle" -- half the stuff on Fox infuriates me, the other half seems somewhat OK.

Of course, for a Leftist, that's an indication that Fox is rabidly right wing. But to say that CNN is anything like fair ... I dunno. That's just delusional.

CNN’s policy of playing it right down the middle

When I was a very young man and my father who was a truck driver took me along with him many a times, and where we lived there was a very large river, it had a narrow bridge.

This bridge was so bad that it was almost guaranteed that two big rigs coming from opposite directions were sure to at the least knock off the drivers mirrors.

Either CNN had better build a bigger bridge or remove its mirrors.

I’m sure the story will be lost to non-truckers.

Only a liberal would think CNN plays it down the middle. If CNN really played it down the middle, they would probably have a huge audience

This statement is empirically correct and can be demonstrated by basic principles of attitude structure and communication well-known to any social psychologist.

I remember them! They're the ones who STILL haven't called Ohio for Bush.

Why would anyone even watch these state run staged news "shows"?

They're totally orchestrated, totally controlled canned messages. 95 plus percent of it is absolute lies and BS.

According to 1990 Humanist of the Year, Ted Turner,Christianity is a "religion for losers" and Christ should not have bothered dying on the cross, and the Ten Commandements are "out of date" and they should be replaced with his Ten Voluntary Initiatives.

I agree. I doubt that I watch 5 minutes of network news a week. When I see anything of it, it’s a complete accident — but even 5 seconds is enough to see that’s it’s a sham.

Viguerie has it wrong, if he's trying to say there's a difference between Bill O'Reilly, Beck, or Sean Hannity and the lesser known anchors on CNN....I can't even think of their names....Wolf Blitzer ? The opposite may be true...O'Reilly and Beck are pretty hi-profile.

What IS true is that Fox tells us what we know and see to be pretty accurate. CNN tells us what they want to be true, but we know is bs.

Does it really matter if this Leftist propaganda organ has been in the process of marginalizing and making itself irrelevant as the Americans move to the conservative Right?

Yeah, I noticed that 20 years ago.

I have noticed lately that FNC is on a lot of places. In fact, I was in Branson Airport last week (Branson is a really great place - I can’t recommend it too highly) and they had a giant TV with Glenn Beck.

I got his whole show in before my plane left.

Anyone who would hire Rick Sanchez does not deserve an audience.
