PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona legislators are setting aside Gov. Jan Brewer's suggestion that lawmakers consider changing parts of the state's controversial immigration law.
Brewer on July 30 floated the idea of making "tweaks" to the law shortly after a federal judge blocked implementation of numerous provisions.

Whaddaya know - legislators with backbone.
Good news.
The only “tweak” I’d consider is to add a provision to arrest anyone within the state’s borders that has a Kenyan name and has no birth certificate.
Agreed....she signed it and should stand beside it. The people like it. Obama don’t...too bad.
If nothing else, SB1070 is keeping Obama from “taking the kids out for ice cream” in Arizona. LOL!
Not only NO but Hell NO!
AZ doing the job the feds won’t do.
Brewer has been hanging around McAmnesty too long.
Legislators have backbone? I mean, well, families, yeah, but backbone?
I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you!
You mean we are ACTUALLY fighting Hezbollah and AQ on the US Mexican border? NO! And the Drug Cartels? Wait. Wait. Who have...wait for it-AfgPak heroin? Really? With AK-47s, RPGs and anything else Soros, Chavez, and Ahmadinejad sends them? Or Mahmoud Abbas? Or the organizers of the Flotilla Schmotilla?
Tell me you dont think that. Go on. Tell me its safe and that were all going to just get along on the Border.
After all, who needs ships, water or any stinking borders when you can breech the ship of State itself with a few paid Soros shills and enemedia sycophant prostitutes?
My conspiracy theory:
mc amnesty put a c-note under her salad fork.....
Thank goodness! Don’t back down Jan!
Arizona SB 1070 was drafted by State legislator Russell Pearce, with major help from law professor Kris Kobach.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kris_Kobach
Mr. Kobach is a very well-qualified constitutional and immigration lawyer (editor of the Yale Law Journal, clerkship with a Federal judge, etc.) He specifically drafted the law so that it would pass Constitutional muster.
Why change the law? There’s no good reason other than expediency.
So what if a corrupt clintonite judge struck down major portions of the law! I hope that the courts that will be ruling on the appeal (at least the Supreme Court) will have enough integrity to uphold a Constitutional law, and not bow to the dictators obama and Soros.
God bless the people of Arizona and her Governor! I just got through with Orthodox Morning Prayer. As part of that prayer, I most certainly prayed for Arizona and her people and Governor, and I asked the Most Holy Theotokos and St. Herman of Alaska (patron saint of North America) to pray for them too!!!!
“Brewer has been hanging around McAmnesty too long.”
Yep!
Ping!
The Governor tossed out the idea of making tweaks to the legislature, and they decided it was too early to discuss that option...let the 9th Circus do its thing, first.
